I dug this video up from months ago, and I was thoroughly impressed. I must admit that I couldn't Paulie for a long time (until about a year ago), and for no reason either, might I add. Maybe it was his voice, but I've learned to appreciate his fighting style and most of all...his commentary.
I can say the same about Roy's commentary...nothing like hearing it from a fighter whose able to explain shit in style. With that in mind, between the two of them, whose commentary do you enjoy the most? This video is a must see, nothing but fighter chemistry! Thoughts? |

The links not there, but I would have to say I like them both on the same level and would love to see them side by side cmmentating big fights. I think Paulie keeps it real a bit more, meaning he has great commentaries of the overall boxing scene and all the bullshit that surround it, whereas Roy is on the other hand more suited for the actual ring side stuff. I am not saying Paulie cannot commentate fights, its just my feeling.
P.S - When I saw the title of this thread I was like "Daaamn, who the fuck wants to see that fight" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) This post has been edited by mitukczuk: Oct 5 2012, 06:16 AM |

Paulie is very good. But I enjoy Roy more, he's very knowledgeable on the fight game and he throws in fun facts and funny comments randomly. He isn't really biased either

u beat me to the punch!!!! great thread! malignaggi is a great commentator and i have to say i really think this guy has a future after boxing behind the mic. very knowledgeable...very articulate. i'll admit, his voice is annoying...but i can look past that because this guy truly knows how to communicate boxing to fans. no fluff....no ego....just good and honest commentary.

True, and ill admit in surprised Roy hasn't been bought with his well documented money issues. We all know what hbo does to guys that aren't "company men". They did get rid of foreman and lennox

i saw this video when it first came out and i have to say...the thought of both paulie and roy running a telecast is a good one. their understanding of boxing cannot be matched by most. u can keep the lampleys and merchants of the world...these are the guys opinions i want to hear.

Agreed! Too bad that the phrase "makes sense" and the word "boxing" doesn't belong in the same sentence. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drag.gif) |
