Just curious who chose Bradley to win by KO AND WHY... I'd almost be willing to eat my own shit if that were to happen O_O that may have been me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

bradley too slow for pac!? we definitely need to bet on this one! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Uhhh yeahhh. Im sure I wasn't the only one who saw him take forever to put away an old gasbag of a Casamayor, who was in his own world during the fight. I cut Tim a bit of slack because he was probably trying to get the rust off, but he didn't impress me a bit. If we're gonna bet on this, then please make it worth my wild. Let's go ahead and bet the house on this one...so I'll have property here in Atlanta AND in Killa Kali! Dont worry, when you lose...I'll give you a consolation gift and allow you to keep your television...the smallest one in the house of course! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

a lot of manny opponents were weight drained. (dlh, hatton, cotto, clottey, margarito) a lot of manny opponents had trainer issues. (dlh, hatton, cotto, clottey, margarito) a lot of manny opponents were coming off of recent beatdowns. (hatton, cotto, margarito, shane) bradley doesn't fit into any of those categories. i'm sorry...i'm not drinking the pacquiao kool-aid. his blazing trail has been smoke and mirrors. when he faces opponents on equal terms...we get pac/jmm 1,2,3. he'll be facing bradley on equal terms. (i hope.) why was hatton weight drained? he was fighting at jr welterweight, and clottey weight drained wasn't it a welterweight bout were he came in at 147 and pacman at 145 and a half? margarito fought at 1 fight at superwelterweight before he was at welterweight, and dlh was stupid enough to chase manny pacman for a fight at 147 before de la hoya wasnt fighting for a the lightweight title. it may be smoke and mirrors but ive had enough with just about everyone thinking that anyone can do what marquez did to pacman, that because theres a "blueprint" everyone can follow it. if that was true you may as well throw my name in the mix to fight him, as you mentioned everytime hes looked bad its been JMM or people that damn right refuse to engage such as Mosley. Bradley fits the category of not being a competent enough counter puncher to do what JMM did. So please people stop thinking that everyone is JMM This post has been edited by mgrover: Feb 5 2012, 06:55 AM |

the recent lack of confidence in pacquiao is partially smoke and mirrors. I'm predicting a Pacqiuao decision win that is going to be hard to judge - lots of ugly punches, Bradley on the inside, body shots etc.
Physically, ideally I think Bradley should just steamroll Pacqiuao. Come forward, make it a dog fight, and give Pacqiuao flashbacks of his earlier days. Seeing Bradley's previous fights demonstrates how that isn't gonna happen. Especially against Pacqiuao. |

I will take Pacquiao by close decision in a very tough fight, with him being the cash cow, as the reason for him getting close rounds. It will be 115-113 (twice) and a far too wide 118-110. This is the first time in a long time that Manny is fighting someone who is not on the downward side, whom Floyd has not already beaten, and who his not shot, but a very good, under-appreciated opponent.
As good as Tim is, he doesn't bring money to the table or put asses in the seats. Bradley could do things that Marquez has done, maybe even better. This is a good fight. Jack |

Bradley is pillow fisted... he has no power and may get his head beat in by Pac man.. Bradley shows me nothing exceptional. This may be good to give Bradley what he has been asking for.. after Pac whips his ass he will keep his juggernaut head quiet...

Already guys, don't stone me to death...but Im actually happy for big head Timmy that he's able to land a fight of this magnitude. Im not sure how big his chances are of winning, but hey, this is his big chance...he can either lose terribly, or look good losing. From what I've witnessed, looking good losing goes a long way.

Alright.
First of, is there any solid info about this fight really happening? The closest to it that I have read so far was that the fight is "Virtually done" http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content1169...c2d532b7af0ada1 Secondly, I ve recently revisited Bradley's fights against Peterson and Alexander and I must say that if Bradley won't pull out some crazy wild punches in bunches and maintains discipline he has a good chance to win a close/split decision imo. He has a good punch (not powerful but lets say crisp), in and out style, can take a punch and if he wants to, he can have a pretty good defense. His head is a different story but I don't think it is intentional. Many fighters have the same head first style. With that said, I think Pac will after all win by 8+ round TKO after an unimpressive performance. His style is always the same and I can't get rid of the feeling that I will not miss anything if I close my eyes during his fights. Jab,Jab,Left..out...jab, jab, left, left...out... I would like to see him have his hands full but I am unsure whether Bradley is the guy for the job. |

This is the best competition that Pacquiao has been in the ring with in a long time. However, look at Bradley's last fight and you'll see that he's not even that good. He got touched a couple of times by a budhead who's reaction time has been severly altered by the use of Marijuana. They don't find 140lbs Bradley to be that much of a danger, lest they would not even consider fighting him. I bet if he would have fought Amir Khan and Prescotted his ass, they would be running scared. They chose him for his lack of power. That doesn't mean that Bradley can't outbox that ass.
