With roughly nothing on tap for the next 5 weeks I see that HBO and Showtime are loaded with quality fights in November and December. Only problem is, they're going up against each other 3 of those weeks.
November 6 HBO: Judah vs. Matthysse Guerrero vs. Escobedo Showtime: Marquez vs. Lopez Green vs. Glen Johnson (?) November 27 HBO: Marquez vs. Katsidis Berto vs. ? Caballero vs. Litzau Showtime: Ward vs. Dirrell Abraham vs. Froch December 11 HBO: Khan vs. Maidana Kirkland vs. ? Showtime: Perez vs. Agbeko Darchinyan vs. Mares Just wondering what people thought were the superior cards. I don't get Showtime anymore so for me there is no choice (though I'm going to try going to a friends who gets it Nov 6 at least. ) Nov 6 & 27 I have to go Showtime. December 11 as good as those bantam fights look I can't miss Khan-Maidana. Any opinions? |

Too hard to choose..Showtime has the super 6 tourney which gives it an edge but HBO makes good fights..Nov. 6 will be a good card for HBO..Oh all the fights listed,I am most excited for Ward/Dirrell..Dec. 11,I'm going with HBO.. |

Woooo...Nov is an awesome month for boxing. I hope Caballero beats the brakes off Litzau.

I got both networks and will watch all the fights, like most here.
But I would pick Showtime Nov. 6. Even up on Nov. 27. And Dec. 11 I favor HBO. These are just my personal preferences. What really sucks is these three dates they compete with one another. It be awesome if instead of three weekends of boxing, they were not together then we could have SIX weekends of boxing. That sounds so much better. I tend to like HBO more, however Showtime putting on Abraham/Froch and Dirrell/Ward is hard to compete with.
I'm just happy to have big fights on both channels, all of them should be entertaining as well. |
