This doesn't surprise me.. which should say more about arum himself then what I think about him If anything old man bobby is a sponsor for cheaters and not taking fighters health into account (chavez Jr rehydrating to light heavy and fighting middleweights and also skipping his post fight drug tests and getting caught on diarretics, pacs knuckles pads, margs plasters, putting marg in the ring knowing his eye could be punched out any moment) Dan Rafael @danrafaelespn Arum trying to make the case that the canceled fights should have gone on despite testing positive for banned substances. Makes no sense. |

If you want to read an absolutely douche bag comment on this, I will point you to none other than the Father of all Douche Bags...yes, the incomperable Bob 'the Bobfather' Arum. He basically makes it all about money and that it's okay if the substance is detected after the match because everything's already taken place. Yes Bob, you soulless, money hungry, crazy person, the boxer's health has already been jeopardised and you've made your money. Sickening. Here's a bit of his mindless opinion on this issue over on ringtv.com. "I'm not laughing at Richard Schaefer, I really feel for him. Everybody has to sit down and sort out this situation. Something is happening that is very wrong here. It's not being sorted out. What's going on here is crazy. It's one thing to test after the event, and the fighter goes before the commission, and he's fined. The event already has taken place. Those things get sorted out." http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/172957-...esting-scandals if bob arum cared about the fighters... he wouldn't have suggested 8oz gloves for the first cotto/margarito fight. he wouldn't have defended that piece of shit cheating muhfucka. he wouldn't have tilted the odds in pac's favor for all those fights where guys were severely weight drained/dehydrated. he wouldn't have put margarito back in the ring with pac and cotto after he took that severe beating from shane. he's all about the money. it doesn't surprise me one bit. look for a lot of the hacks to start spewing his same bullshit in their articles. |

Good news that Chambers is asking for random testing too. Hopefully Admaek's camp agrees and the IBF also gets in on the act.

At this point, the thought ANY fighter requesting random drug tests is an "open mouth, insert foot" move. Seriously, it's a catch-22...they're fucked if they request the tests and ultimately fail, and they're possibly fucked if they get in the ring against a juiced-up opponent.

I hope, for the sake of African American fighters, Chambers is clean. People will try to pin in on blacks for sure if he pops up dirty.

But seriously, the random testing thing is essentially revolutionary in boxing and revolutions are never easy. I'm not phased by what has happened with Berto and Peterson, or even if it happens again. Keep doing it until they get it right! |

Eventually they'll get it and it won't be a dilemma. The boxer and his team must be acutely aware of everything that the boxer eats, drinks and any medication that he's taking (all completely feasible). They should also disclose every single thing to VADA at the start of the process. |
