I'm still leaning towards Julio in this one, because I feel that Sergio's 15 mins are up. Sergio's over eager to hurt Julio, and he may endure some type of adrenaline dump early, if he's ineffective in hurting Julio. This is where I believe that Sergio beats himself, kinda like how the Falcons play the hell out of their defense in the playoffs, and it comes to bite them in the ass from the last 1/3 of the 3rd quarter 'til the clock hits 0.
As for Julio's weight, what's new? He'll bulk back up this evening, and fight the same way the usually does. Better head movement, and attempting to turn Sergio will be his best bet. Of course we know that he's going to stalk Sergio, but he shouldn't engage in following him...bad move. I have a feeling that Sergio is going to come out and "Paul Williams" it, and go for the knockout early. If Julio can weather the storm without getting hurt, then I'm almost sure that Martinez adrenaline will creep up. I have Julio by TKO in the later rounds. The common prediction is Martinez by this drastic, eye-popping, KO. The fact that I keep hearing that, is ass-chapping, and most of it is coming from people who are excited to see a fight and don't know anything about the sport. With that in mind, I'm TOTALLY against a Martinez victory, even if it's logical...due to these super fans. Those are some of the same people that said Floyd was gonna "Gatti" Cotto a few months ago, and we saw differently. If Julio is first in this fight, then I dont Sergio being a counterpunch specialist...I dont really remember seeing that from him. Hopefully this has been a bunch smokescreens from the Chavez camp about him not taking training seriously. For some odd reason, I kinda feel that Sergio has played possum in last couple of fights, to bait Arum and Team Chavez into taking the fight. Who knows. One thing that I've always admired about the MW division, is that it's ALWAYS delivered, when it came to making the best fights, and the true champ was never in question...I guess until recently with the whole WBC title crap. |

I think the closer way to put it is that Martinez cannot win without a stoppage of some form. I want JCC jr to lose, no idea why people think Martinez is at such a disadvantage, that it'll be a blow out

At the same weight i can see martinez just being to much for chavez, if he can run around the ring all day. I'm more of a sergio fan but im not really sure on who will win because chavez already proved he was no joke. I know they're gonna F*** eachother up though, i think it will be win by KO or TKO.
If their the same weight I don't think chavez will be able to back sergio down and take him down like he would against someone smaller than him. And we know that Roach's fighters don't know about defense (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . The only way i wont be sad about martinez losing is if JCC gets ward after. |
