Everyone thinks that the big Russian is going to role over this guy. But Algieri is very upset-minded, and is undefeated. We also know that Ruslian can't box. When Bradley tried that, "Russian Rocky" looked like a deer in headlights. When Bradley slugged, he was close to death. I think Algieri is going to box and shock a lot of people with a close fight! Maybe a split decision that goes to the Russian cuz he is "The Guy."

Vote and comment in the poll!

the reason tim was able to get that far is because he coyuld survive ruslans assault. if algieri cant survive, he wont have the opportunity to box. alvarado couldnt survive. herrera survived, but he got beat up very badly and i think the fight could have gone either way. freddie will give him a good game plan, i think he wins by knockout.

Algiri will have to put on a boxing clinic he lacks power which is a nice tool but not necessary for the job at hand. Speed and sound boxing technique would be his best bet but from what I've seen he lacks speed too! He's gonna have to use every ounce of ring generalship his boxing I.q. can muster! I don't doubt he can pull it off I just don't see it happening!

This will be a replay of Agnew/Kovalev, or at best, GGG/Rosado...not the worst fights, but underdog just cant do enough early on, to gain respect from the favorite...they tend to step on the gas when they're bloodied or after those early body shots start to sink in.

I agree. But wouldn't it be great for boxing if Algieri did win impressively. A white american world champion from NY in and around FMJ and Manny's weight class. Imagine a promotion for a fight w/him and Broner/Garcia.

He has all the makings of a star plus he's a college graduate/nutritionist. He'd get so much press from the general public. But I highly doubt he will win tomorrow night.

It would be lovely if he did ...all the points you mentioned at up beautifully. If he's not bonded to trying in some kind of 1 or two fight deal following this fight he'll have a laundry list of options ....also a major target on his forehead!

Ruslan by TKO in 7. Should be a good matchup for 3-4 rounds, then he wilts from Ruslan's pressure and power.
