i had to be the one to deliver the bad news...but...

showtime is the home of the upset. mayweather/guerrero has upset written all over it. the 6 fight deal has a strong possibility to go right down the toilet....and i don't believe hbo will be totally out the picture. i do believe that this will change the current landscape of boxing...which imo, is a good thing. no more ppv's....no more trying to force feed us over paid/under challenged fighters. new stars will emerge...and hopefully hbo will realize that trying to force feed us manufactured stars is not the way. showtime will continue to grow.

Idk about that upset thing, Canelo, matthysse, mares have all fought there and came out spotless.

But it is very possible Floyd can lose. Theirs no telling how he will look after a layoff this late in his career and after a jail stint.

And hopefully everything you said about manufactured fighters gets toned down at the very least.

yeah...they guys you named won their fights...but i can point to plenty of upsets. showtime has always been more inclined to put on quality matches rather than showcase bouts...so it's more likely to happen there.

i think trout is going to beat canelo.

guerrero at the very least is going to make floyd look really bad. i won't be shocked if he drops floyd...or even upsets him.

I don't mean to sound like am out of a Rocky movie, but Guerrero seems to bring something to the table most of his recent opponents aside from Cotto hasn't, and that's hunger. Guerrero seems to believe his own fantasy that he will be champion that day, I guess believing anything otherwise with an opponent like Mayweather is pointless.

Professor usually I agree with most of the things that you say but this one I can not go with you on. Guerrero at best is the poor man's Castillo. He is not going to rough house Floyd like he did Berto and unlike Berto, he will be dealing with the original Shoulder Roll. Not a BS imitation. Guerrero gets hit way too often and he does not have a power punch. This should be an interesting fight but my money is on Money! And what a hell of a deal that he inked with showtime. Someone at HBO is about to get fired!

Shhhhh....dont say that too loud...wouldn't wanna ruin the Floyd fan party by being "pessimistic"...this is their moment.

Remember, anything that Floyd does, is the best thing known to mankind, and there's no such thing as error when it comes to him. That sorta reminds me of this dude name Jesus...you know, the guy that walked on water.

The only one time in my life that i questioned if mayweather was going to win a fight was when he got cracked by mosely in that second round. Crazy feeling, i didn't know what was going to happen after that. But to my surprise, he showed me how to come back and adjust after getting hit (Pacquiao shot)..After that i can't question his moves, i only try to analyze. Mayweather makes careful moves in the ring as he does in his career, he takes like 1-2% more hits now but he still ends up on top.

Sucks that my college dorm only has HBO and no Showtime :\

6 fights?! Sounds too good to be true;

1.Guerrero
2. Canelo, no matter if he wins his next fight or not. may not be right after the loss, but probably after the comback. so 2 or 3.
3. Devon Alexander, Slick south paw i think he will fight want to fight before pacquiao.
4. Pacquiao, No way the fight cant happen. Mayweather easily takes this
5. Sergio or Amir Khan/Brook
6. Bradley, easyyyy

I think Trout beats Canelo, but i still dont think he gets a Mayweather fight after that, or mayweather just wont move up to face him. If Trout were to beat Sergio too then maybe i see him getting a shot at Mayweather.

I wonder how Manny feels about Floyd making groundbreaking move after groundbreaking move, while Arum tells him what he's going to do. The world loves Manny, but he's just in a bad spot right now...well, it's been like that for a while. Regardless of how much the world hates Floyd...dude is handling his business and breaking records. The only groundbreaking thing that Manny's manged to do as of late, is get laid out.

It seems like any type of resistance on his part, to change Arum's mind about his next move/fight, gets scoffed at and done anyway. It's looking bad for him, and moves like this on Mayweather's end, make him (FMJ) look, well...like he was right all along. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/no2.gif)

PS: I hate it for Guerrero (press-wise), because this news is pretty much a bigger deal than the upcoming fight itself. Maybe it's a good thing, maybe he doesn't want all of the extra attention that he's going to get some of anyway...that makes for a clear mind on his part..you know, stay under the radar, and pull off the upset. Lol
