Bute looked really good. I wish he was in the Super 6 instead of Taylor. Now about Funeka-Guzman. I scored the bout 8-4 for Funeka. I thought the fight was pretty clear cut...BUT I'm going to have to rewatch it because I think there were some close rounds in there. I've gone to different sites and messageboards and looked at other peoples' scorecards. From all the scorecards I saw, people have given Guzman various rounds, such as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 12th. That's six rounds right there. I think most people agree that Guzman won the first 2 rounds clearly. After that though is where the discussion begins. It's possible Guzman was really lucky, and the judges gave him all of those close rounds. I'm going to have to rewatch this fight though to see how close those rounds really were. I'll be back. Yeah, and if Cotto could have just gotten through that 12th round he could have gotten himself a draw. Funeka was robbed. Guzman knows it. His trainer and management know it. The two Canuck prostitutes know it. Do yourself a favor and stop trying to rationalize the crime. It is unbecoming of you. |

What I'm saying though is I'm going to review some of the rounds that I've seen other people give to Guzman. You should do the same, and then we can compare notes. |

I was pulling for Guzman against the Funeka monster. Hint; you can watch from now until New Year's Day and it will still be a travesty. Don't waste your time. |

Just saw this fight, and I was very, very impressed with Bute. This is probably the most impressed I have been in a performance recently, it might have something to do with maybe not expecting it either but he looked terrific. He moved well, he punches well he just did everything well. The counter shot that dropped him and then the body shot was something else.
Why wasn't he in the 168 tourney? I actually think he could probably be better than just about all the guys in there, well at least be close to on par with the best in there. |

Bute is way more dangerous and exciting than Taylor. Bute would be a far more interesting fight than Taylor v Ward. Do the right thing Jermaine and step aside. |

I agree with ya Fitz..Bute would of been better for the tourney than Taylor..Why Taylor wants to keep himself in there is beyond everyone I think..Give someone who really deserves it a chance..Bute is champ..Bute just isn't as big of a name as Taylor though..Bute's combos looked great..His short left hand that dropped Andrade was perfect..Then that nasty body shot.. If a guy takes a good head shot,go to the body..If he takes a good body shot,go to the head..If he can take both,be scared!!hahaha..It's very rare for a guy to be able to take both though.. |
