This has fight of the night written all over it in capital letters.
I'm liking GSP because he is more complete, and an equally good striker. The pitbull is vicious, and has some of the best muay thai kicks in the business, probably more power in every strike. GSP will trade standing up, and mix it up on the mat when he needs to. But the pitbull will be one hit away from winning at all times GSP by ground n pound |

It will depend on what sort of gameplan GSP takes, as to how difficult the fight will be for him. Obviously if he stands up, that plays to the pitbulls strengths and will make it harder than it needs to be. But if he puts the alves on his back i cna see GSP dominating the fight.
GSP will make this a crowd pleasing fight, and mix it up |

I dont see GSP wanting anything of a standup battle in this one. IMO the question is how easyily he can get Alves down. If he does, he will probably dominate there with some lay & pray here and some ground & pound there. On their feet I think Alves will get the better of it. And his takedown defense his pretty good, so he may get enough time standing to score some points. Not to forget, hes got vicious knees, so GSP has to be careful with his shoots.
Give me The Pitbull by knockout (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |
