I'm sorry I respect cotto and wouldn't look past him but a couple of Sharp counters will put him on his ass. Corley zab pac, even yuri and mayorga stunned him a couple of times. My prediction is he will stop cotto, I think cotto is going to try to jab to get in then work the body.
As far as the face off goes I think it will play out how things were with marquez. Cotto is a quiet respectful dude he doesn't lose it and sound off and there is a language barrier. I think mayweather knows that a verbal standoff could just be awkward and turn some fans off from the fight. |

When I was on the dating scene and messing with girls that were full of drama, the thing that would anger them the most is when they started yelling and screaming and I looked at them and laughed or seemed apathetic. If Victor Ortiz stayed himself, whoever the hell that is, Floyd would have been way nicer to him pre-fight. It's when Ortiz got out of character that Mayweather pounced on him like shark food. Some guys (DLH, Ortiz,Mosley etc) couldnt resist. That's when he's got you. |

Does anyone else agree that none of these Face-Off segments holds a candle to the Hopkins/Pascal Face-Off???

I liked this Face-Off. I thought Mayweather was entertaining, and Cotto is entertaining just being the quiet warrior he is. I know Floyd is expecting a tough fight, because Cotto is a good fighter, who's not completely one-dimensional and overrated. The biggest problem with Cotto is that hes not really physically gifted. In terms of physical ability, Floyd outclasses him in about every way. He also outclasses him in boxing ability. Cotto would be fighting dangerous trying to out-box Floyd, he's better off going for the pressure, going to the body, being the bigger guy, it would work better for him. I don't know how Floyd plans to fight Cotto, I don't think it'd be safe for him to fight Cotto close-quarter in the pocket, that's where Cotto is the strongest. It'll also be difficult for Floyd to lead on Cotto, because Cotto's stance, the way he keeps his hands up, Floyd would have to fight defensive in this fight, looking for counters. He has his speed to his advantage at that.
I think if Cotto comes to fight, this would be one of the toughest fights Floyd has had since moving up to 140-147, like back in the 130-135 days when he had more competitive fights. It might not be as tough as the Oscar De La Hoya fight, because Cotto doesn't take punishment as good as Oscar does, plus like I said Cotto isn't very physically gifted. I'm looking forward to this fight, interesting to see how it will play out. I won't call this an easy fight, like I do with people like Sergio and Pacquiao, because styles do make fights. I have however seen boxing predictors think Cotto will get destroyed. But we'll see. Also, if I see Bradley and Pacquiao making out in their Face-Off like they did in the press conference I may not watch their fight. |

I also liked Ortiz/Mayweather. Particularly, "you make ANY mistakes, you have to pay" lmaoooooooo Oh and I can't forget "ehhh he a good lil fighter" But to your point, overall, the Pascal/Hopkins one was probably the most entertaining. I couldnt stop laughing. Pascal's english and him trying to censor himself after trying to talk all tough will go down as one of the funniest moments in Face Off history for sure! |

This was the only Face-Off that was dramatic and the fight was just as entertaining! Pascal made the Face-Off though. Bernard did his piece and was funny, but again, Pascal's theatrics and English stole the show! I will just open a thread and leave it out of the Mayweather/Cotto stuff... |

when floyd goes for the ko...he gets rocked himself. *see mayweather vs corley. it's going to be interesting. Even Floyd knows this. He said so himself in a video interview. He said, "I knew Mosley was gon' catch me, 'cause I was pressin' the attack. I knew he was gon' catch me (laughin')." |

Is anybody keen on a possible Pascal vs Dawson face off? I think it would be funny with that past post fight press conference between Pascal and Dawson.
