CShel, I did not expect you to look like that at all. After seeing that, I don't think that it's fair of you to call Allmenjoi names...

But to be serious, yeah I also hope that's all it is. I'm a big fan of Peterson's and really hope that he didn't play himself.

Shut up Cheesey!

Seriously though, Im past disappointed with Lamont, but Im still in a big state of disbelief as well. The part that chaps my ass the most, is that whiny ass daffy duck Khan will be bitching...and he actually has reason enough to do so at this point. Can anybody say, "permitted and moaning"?

Khan: "I was the cleeen figh-uh, and I knew that I was chea-eh out of my tite-ulls. I was the behuh figh-uh and he had an uhfair advantage. You see, I had teh best training camp and landed the cleeenuh punches in the fight. I was in D.C. and I was rawb'd that night".

Translation: "I was the cleaner fighter, and I knew I was cheated out my titles. i was the better fighter and he had an unfair advantage. You see, I had the best training camp and landed the cleaner punches in the fight. I was in D.C. and I was robber that night.

Imagine the endless dialogue of rebuttal from Amir, get ready...

i dont understand how this would promote the blood testing since it was the urine that caught him out.

It's random blood and urine testing, not just blood testing.

Actually both of his samples ( A & B ), which are blood and urine tests, came back positive. The urine sample tested positive first, so they went back and checked the blood sample, which also tested positive.

The crazy part about this situation is, NSAC says that Peterson "has not been licensed", so in my opinion, as fucked up as boxing has been over the years, he'll still get licensed when they get down to the bottom of it. One would think that if a fighter tested positive for a banned substance, the fight would be called off...not in boxing (as it appears).

At the end of the day, the final decision will come down to money. Notice that all we've been reading and hearing is, "once they get down to the bottom of it". The "bottom line" is, Lamont tested positive, a MONTH AGO. He had time to come up with something (doctor's excuse, etc) as to why he came up hot, and that was BEFORE GBP was even notified. As for the NSAC, it sounds like "zero tolerance" isn't even a factor in this situation.

All I can see is Vegas losing out on money that they really need, though Floyd just put some in their pockets. Imagine if the "megafight" was signed, being promoted and so forth, then BOOM...Manny or Floyd's samples came back positive...

With that in mind, along with the hard work and million dollars shelled out to build up that magnitude of a fight...do you REALLY think that the fight would just get called off? No way! Same goes for Khan/Peterson, but the biggest kicker is that this fight is supposed to be next weekend...to damn close to call it off, and too damn late to put Khan in there with a nobody.

I can imagine that the purses have been split, so no way they'll put Khan in there with somebody worth watching. That guy that would be worth watching, would probably want more money (i.e. when boxing fans wanted GBP to pick Maidana to rematch Morales last Sept. (when Matthssye pulled out) and give Maidana less than what he made in the first fight, in which he had won).

There's too much to be switched around in this little time, and one would wonder why it took them so long to notify GBP that Peterson tested positive, which was discovered back on April 13. Yep you got it...Vegas aint missing out no money, so it looks like they pulled the "let me tell them at the last minute", so they wouldn't have enough time call the fight off and find a better opponent.

Goodman says that it was for confidential reasons, that they didn't notify Khan's side about the positive test...again, hogwash. If they still go through with the fight (without good reason), then dont be surprised or upset, this IS boxing that we're talking about here...

Man, you can't even imagine how I struggle with my natural instincts telling me to punch people speaking with the Manchester area accent. One thing I have learned in 1 year of studies here in the UK is - Never listen with both ears when these people speak. It's such an annoying experience (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Btw, even Brits keep telling me Khan is a twat. Remember Floyd after one of his recent fights (cant remember) saying that he is bigger in the UK than Khan ? Well, he was right. By miles!

Ha! I have no issues with anybody with an accent, other than Khan and Kayode. Khan is just a crying cunt, but Kayode has the strongest accent in boxing.
