Makes sense to me. Got his first draw fighting Carlos Molina the man who many thought would've beaten James Kirkland had the ref not DQ the corner man (I personally didn't). Got his first and only loss to Paul Williams, though many beleived he actually won (no offence Paul). Stylistically I see him (Lara) giving Canelo "Hell" if they fight. I mean if Alverez wants to pay tribute to Paul an all, why not do it against the man who gave him alotta fits...... or fists (no offense again Paul)....... I'm just sayin.

Yes this is a very good matchup. But I also think Kirkland is a good choice as well.
Does anyone know when Cotto plans to fight again? I think Alvarez vs Cotto can match Chavez vs Martinez in September. Hell it gives Cotto another shot to win a title... |

Lara is a good matchup. I'd like to see him in against Cotto too, but the build up time is too short. Cotto would be a good matchup for December of this year. Not sure Alvarez gets by Lara though. lara could run the jewels and beat Alvarez and then Cotto later this year. Then he'd have a date with Mayweather of Pacquiao. How does that sound?

Would love to see Lara get the shot at Canelo but I'd be surprised if they put this fight together. Lara is high risk and I think he's more then capable of winning the fight. But he is running out of opponents so I'm hoping he gets the nod in September instead of Trout or the other possible candidates
