Thats a shame, I hope the drug wasnt PED's, and was something like weed or something. With PED's you can expect a suspension and I was really looking forward to this fight.

I wouldn't get too worried yet, could be a diaretic weed or something. But who knows honestly but we won't be sure until they say officially what it is.

Supposedly its anabolic steroids, the statement I saw didn't even seem like they weren't trying to say they were innocent, but the gist of it is that Peterson respects the VADA the ones who are doing the testing, just seems fishy why would a fighter request it and then fail it there's no way he could of thought he'd get away with something like that

Peterson seems like a straight shooter, so I hope it's not true. This will give khan an excuse for losing the first fight.

Any chance this further popularizes the frequency of drug testing? Even though I want to see this fight, it could be a blessing in disguise.

just seems fishy why would a fighter request it and then fail it there's no way he could of thought he'd get away with something like that The funny thing is, his TEAM requested it, and Peterson sort of kept quiet about it. He basically stated that he "didn't mind" random testing, but he was never the posterboy for it. This will give khan an excuse for losing the first fight. My ass is already hurting behind the fact that Khan will piss & moan (as usual), and actually have somewhat of a valid reason to do so. It's his "I told you so" attitude (following the pissing & moaning) that makes you wanna snuff him. Any chance this further popularizes the frequency of drug testing? Even though I want to see this fight, it could be a blessing in disguise. I actually agree, but fuck it, I want to see this fight. Lol. The fact that this news surfaced (whether it's true or not), is enough for commissions to start taking action. |

What a bombshell!
If it was Peterson, all I can do is shake my head and ask "why my brother, why?" If it turns out that it wasn't a diuretic, then the very bright silver lining is that random drug testing works and I hope that we'll start seeing more of it. Boxing has no place for steroid users! I'm not saying ban the guilty party for life, but if proven conclusively that it was a steroid and not a diuretic or the chron chron, then yes, there should definitely be a ban. The only thng about diuretics is that they can be used to mask the 'roids (as far as I'm aware), so finding a diuretic is not a good look at all. If it's just the buds then let's get ready to rumble on the 19th! This post has been edited by Cheesey1: May 8 2012, 11:15 AM |
