So Showtime would offer Pascal more to fight some 2nd rate LHeavy on an undercard than HBO would offer for a mega showdown with Kovalev? Hell no. That isn't a legitimate excuse. There is no reason for Pascal-Kovalev to not be made as long as Pascal wants it.

I definitely would like to see Adonis-Kovalev, Adonis-Pascal, Pascal-Kovalev and any combo against Bhop to rid the division of him... also intelligent enough to realize the business aspect of the sport

(easy)

I'm almost certain Pascal would want it (it's what he does for a living in case you forgot) his adviser Roy Jones tried to dangle that carrot during prefight Kovalev... anyway, HBO holds the cards and for some strange reason they are suddenly turning into cheapskates, expecting GGG, Kovalev and Adonis to continually fight for peanuts

oh thats right scratch Adonis from the list

HBO has one chance left to prove to us that they arent a sack of shit network. if they cant make a golovkin martinez fight considering both guys win, then e know they are just incompetent. they failed with may-pac, now stevenson-kova, and they have one fight left in ggg-maravilla, or maybe ward-ggg. if they fuck that up then im done.

A Good Article from Yahoo Sports about the missed opportunities WBC Light Heavyweight Champion Adonis Stevenson once had:

Is he ducking good opposition since going over to Showtime and Al Haymon? (Story Below)

Unless I missed it in the article, they didn't mention anything about HBO failing to match Showtime's offer for Stevenson. Fighters need to seek out the best deals, because the networks and promoters don't care about them. They just want ratings and money. Haymon gets his fighters paid. Had HBO matched the offer, we may have had the Kovalev/Stevenson fight by now. What I didn't know that the article states, is that Stevenson demanded another tune up fight with Fanfora before Hopkins. If true, that kinda hurt his stock. Only time will tell.

What Al Haymon wanted was not just a tune up. Basically he wanted a lot more money for the fight happening on HBO, no guarantee of the Kovalev fight whatsoever and he refused to discuss it at all. It was obvious that no matter what that fight wasn't happening. No matter what he was going to take Adonis to the other side for a gimme fight.

al haymons greed works when showtime and gbp are in his couirt and they are the monopoly, but when there is other options and other networks like there is now with hbo playing ball with gbp, then haymons shrewdness can backfire like with the hopkins fight and with the earlier kovalev fight. i think the salka fight had a lot fo backlash also, and now with the maidana rematch, people are getting mad at haymon nd sick of his bullshit matchmaking thats all about money, and not about what the fans wanna see.

itll indeed be interesting when GBP tells Al Haymon to fuck off at one point. But it seems showtime hangs on his every word. Just as easily as he brought them Floyd and all his fighters, he can take him away. Well maybe not Floyd hes under contract.
