Broner by late TKO in the 10th. He will come in overweight and with a little help from Delahoya and Hayman along with the HBO pom-poms will win with the extra weight as a factor. I sense a possible premature stoppage for some reason. I think Demarco will have to dominate to win on the cards anyway. It will be a good fight. But there will be some controversy in favor of the cheerleading fighter.

They knew earlier that week, that Broner wasn't going to make weight for the Escebedo fight. If he happens to come in overweight for this one, the same thing will happen as it did in July...DeMarco will be offered money that only a fool would walk away from. |

With the chin that DeMarco has shown over time, whatever Broner plans on doing, should be done early. We saw Linares go down because of lack of power. Not only that, but ended up sustaining cuts that costed him his vision during the fight. So no power, horrible vision, and strong guy who can outlast you and knock you out...bad recipe.
I think Broner has the power to make his stand in this fight, but so does DeMarco...he just lacks the ring IQ to get it done early or against somebody that moves. Had Linares not been cut so bad, he would've won on points alone. I see this as a victory for Broner, but I'm not so sure he KO's DeMarco. I felt the same way about Lara in the Martirosyan and Hernandez fight. DeMarco will probably fair better than we expect. I hear all of these guys on the web and on radio shows, saying that Broner will "massacre", "decapitate", "murder", DeMarco...but didn't people predict the same outcome for Mayweather/Cotto, Chavez/Martinez, Donaire/Vasquez Jr? I hear people saying, "Uh uh, yeah man, go back and look at the DeMarco/Valero fight". Whatever dumbass, I've seen the fight already, cut the bullshit. most folks have hardly seen any of Valero's fight, let alone DeMarco's, but yet they'll run their mouth about that, and give Broner the victory. Fact is, that was 2 years ago...we never know what DeMarco has in store for Saturday night. Life is always great for the underdog, when it comes to boxing. Hell, it's a great position for any situation. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) No official prediction from me...I just have this gut feeling that Broner wont have the easiest night in the world, but certainly not the hardest fight either. |

I expect Broner to win by TKO around the 8th round. Broners got the skills and hes heavy handed. I think he walks down DeMarco and beats him up.

Broner has displayed good ring intelligence no question... but with whom was it displayed? How could you say he has the power when he hasn't fought anyone capable of taking punches besides Ponce. Every prospect has power, boxing IQ, and speed when they're on the come up fighting bums. Saturday night we will find out who Broner really is, how he will fare. We will see how his speed and power looks compared to DeMarco's. Until then cut the power talk. I predict Broner will win by a close decision and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Broner-DeMarco II. The biggest advantages Broner has are his weight and Al Haymon.

Haven't people even seen Chavez/Martinez? Chavez was bigger, but slower and powerful...had he played his cards right, he would've stopped Sergio. Having speed, power, and movement....means shit against a Mexican fighter. Cant wait til Saturday! LOL |

Taylor / Chavez anyone ? Good point, C'. I got Broner winning a controversial UD. If it goes to the cards. That is what I see as well. There's too much politics with Al Hayman and Delahoya at HBO controlling Boner, and that almost always seems to influence the judges in close rounds. I do think Broner stops Demarco late. But Adrien is the one for whom the pom-poms will be shaking. Jack |
