Some of Chavez Jr's shots were wide. He would've done more damage if he wouldn't have been so wide with his punches. I agree Golovkin works him and Ward ends him imo

He's to slow to be throwing that wide to the head. It works for him when attacking the body but its not wise at all.

He was side open for counter shots. That could get him hurt down the line in future fights

Arum is doing some massive trolling and getting the GGG faithfuls all wound up about a possible GGG fight. I just don't see it happening...not this soon.

Chavez seemed pumped about a GGG fight...dude spoke English and all, when they asked about GGG. At the end of the day, it just doesn't sound right. We know that GGG isn't fighting in April (as originally planned), but that doesn't mean that we'll see Chavez/GGG in May.

As far as I'm concerned, Arum may be playing puppet master here, and trying to see how much he can squeeze out of the originally discussed Froch fight...since a GGG fight seems just as appealing.

"Appealing" doesn't always equal "money" though...not in the boxing world. A Chavez/Froch fight has money written all over it, but in the event that Froch beats Groves again, he may end up getting on a high horse and asking for more money for a Chavez fight. Froch isn't getting any younger, and the Groves fight may take a bit more out of him...causing him to feel that he deserves more money for putting his body on the line...we've seen this happen before.

Anyhow, I think GGG is being used as a smokescreen to make the public think that Chavez is "back", so to speak. If anything, Chavez will either fight in Mexico in May, or make a MW come up to 68 to fight him on HBO as a stay busy fight.

And if Groves beats Froch in the rematch, does Arum's plans go out the window? Of course, there could be Chavez Jr.-Groves, if Groves beats Froch in a big way.

Or Arum, Lamply or someone else at HBO is paying for an English diction teacher!

LOL. HBO just raked in 1.4 million viewers for the Chavez fight. Showtime, it's your turn.

Absolutely not! It wont ruin a thing! The ONLY thing that'll ruin it, is if Groves stops Froch (as you mentioned). If it goes to the cards, its gonna either be a close win or loss for Froch. Let's not forget that Arum is good at matching losers. Lol
