I just seen the Rite with Anthony Hopkins and it was one of the better movies its inspired by real events but of course they exaggerate a few things but it was a chilling movie about Exorcism and its maybe up there with Exorcism Of Emily Rose and the Exorcist...

I couldn't roll with Black Swan. Wanted to love it. It was just too...too...jittery.
Loved Social Network. Liked The Town, The Fighter, True Grit, Inception. Ghost Writer was OK. Kids are Alright was decent. Fucking HATED Shutter Island. Walked the fuck out. Haven't seen King's Speech yet. Or Toy Story 3. |

I saw The King's Speech tonight. Very good movie. Colin Firth probably won himself an Oscar with that performance. Geoffry Rush is great as well, but his comp is just too strong...
It wasn't the Best Movie of the year, but it definitely deserved the nomination. |

Loved Toy Story 3!
Shutter Island sucked. Inception was real good. Still have not seen Social Network. The A-Team surprise me, thought it would be totally cheesy and terrible. I actually thought it was pretty good. |

I hear they are lining up Cedric the Entertainer to play James (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

If they ever make a movie on Toney, the only one I want playing him is HIMSELF. Like when I watched that movie when Epps played Toney, it just was not the same. |

Inception and True Grit and 127 Hours....the rest pale in comparison.
Black Swan was OK...mostly hype over the lesbo crap....I've seen nutty chick done MUCH better...Polanski's "Repulsion" and "In My Skin" to name a couple off the top of my head. I REALLY liked Tron: Legacy. I think they did an amazing job of jumping the hurdle of making a followup film after a damn near 30 year break. It's the perfect blend of new film for younger kids who did not even know WTF "a tron" was....AND managed to stay comitted to those of us that saw the original and made this one play out as a sequel as well. Also have to give credit to "The Human Centipede"....a very decent low budget flick that gets a bad rap due to the subject matter. Despite the bad acting and subject matter the direction and photography were very high quality when you consider the budget. Also liked "Repo Men" with Jude Law and Forrest Whitiker. A really nice sci-fi that snuck in under the radar...came out when some pixar/disney crap was out and kind of got lost in the shuffle. Jude Law is really starting to put himself together a VERY impressive list of Sci-Fi credits...with A.I., Existinze and now this one. AND...I would totally be wrong to leave off "Gone with the Pope".....you gotta see it to believe it. Read up on the history of the film on wiki...it's quite amazing! |
