ESPN gave donaire Fighter of the year. Don't agree at all but I'd like to reiterate that ESPN doesn't know shit about boxing and usually have an agenda in siding with fighters.
Garcia had a far better year. Donaire just had an active year |

I'd have no problem with JMM receiving especially based on how he won. |

Exactly, arce was beginning to get ran through by rojas. The Japanese dude looked like he only came for a retirement check. And although mathebula was an unknowingly he made donaire look like shit. Garcia fought top competition all year and had some great wins |

I guess they figured he's a Flip that is knocking out fighters who come straight forward, and he has a decent smile plus he speaks English and his native Tagalog well then they figured that they come market him much in the same manner they did Manny. I wonder what happens to him once someone puts him face first on the canvas?? |

Guerrero had a good year, but doesn't deserve to be in the conversation.

Potential candidates...
Keith Thurman - Reckless and sloppy, but he's been knockin' heads off. Adrien Broner - Need I say more? Kelly Pavlik - Robert Garcia has this guy lookin' rejuvenated. I can even see the improvements of Pavlik's left hand, which I'm impressed by. He's no longer a one-handed fighter. |

so both espn and ring got it wrong.
jmm victory over pac > donaire victories over wv2, mathebula, nishioka and arce it is blatantly obvious the ppl who cover boxing really don't know much about it. |
