So Team Mayweather(Leonard & Floyd himself) now have stated they plan to fight May 4 vs TBA & Sep 14th vs TBA...both being at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This is terrific news if it comes to fruition. 99% of the time when Leonard comes out with a statement it is very simple, accurate, professional & to the point when it comes to Floyd. Now the question is who will be the 2 opponents? Or will it be the same opponent(highly unlikely, but possible)? In my opinion...If I was Golden Boy and Team Mayweather i would announce a 4 man tourney in the 147-154 pound divisons. With Floyd & Canelo in opposite fights. I know, I know...weve seen "plans" get interupted before, but with the right 4 men any matchup would be nice. They could match Canelo vs K-9 in a unification fight on 1 side and you could get the Mayweather-Ghost matchup on the other. Mayweather could even ask the Ghost to come to 154 if they planned on having an undisputed 154 pound Champion after the 2 fights. Or there is always a Mayweather-Canelo fight right away in May or Mayweather could wait for Pacman( depending the results). This will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Makes sense I'm sticking with the Mayweather-Guerrero bit, and the K-9 Bundrage idea sounds like a sell. Ya know, for a champion (Bonderage) he has been on the shelf for sometime now so I wouldn't be surprised if GBP kept him there as a back up. Pacman has it in tough this Saturday. Though I'll be streaming this "one-too-many" kinda fight, being 2-0-1 seems like Pacquiao is asking to be upset. We'll see. |

I have no idea about the Cinco de Mayo fight but I think the September fight will be Danny Garcia. I think Angel will run his yap in some post fight interview if Danny KO's Zab and the whole room will pause like "uh oh." I don't think Oscar wants Canelo fighting Floyd quite yet. I don't think they see Canelo as the "new thing". I think they're trying to make him an actual icon. Danny is a "new thing", who has a big name now, but I don't think they mind sacrificing him to the big bad wolf lol. I think a Garcia vs Mayweather fight is much easier to sell than Guerrero. I think Mayweather will use the September fight to take over another market. Wouldn't be surprised if he fought in the Barclays. If that beef with him and 50 is genuine, that would be a real rash on 50's gens. He secretly HATES Jay-Z but respects him. In the biggest dick contest 50 always wants to have with moguls, your ex-friend/ biggest fighter in the sport fighting in your rivals arena is like a penis pump lol

And better for Danny if he loses his 0 against Floyd and makes a nice very payday instead of losing it to Matthysse and not getting nowhere near the same amount of money. |

Yup, plus Golden Boy won't have to pay THAT much for Danny. They'll probably appease him by letting him walk out first. Letting him fighting where he'll already have fought twice. Oscar will hype up the fight and remind people that Danny is a champion and he has belts blah blah blah. Floyd wont care much about entering the ring first. He'll say that he's happy to be fighting a stong, young champion at his best (clearly a jab at Manny lol). He'll call Danny a young lion with tremendous punching power, then the week of, as Garcia and his pops are fuming with confidence, he'll begin talking shit at a rate that maybe even Angel can't handle and take the cool right outta Danny's walk lol. Him and Ellerbe will be sitting back with the "This nigga here" face and collect another pay day agaist a guy who's probably going to make about 1/8th of what he is. Win/Win for all parties involved. |

The trash talk between Danny's father and Floyd Mayweather, would be a big sell alone! It would be a big money fight, but not so easy of a fight for Floyd. Jack |
