So this morning i read lamont Peterson signed with golden boy. This is significant because as most of you I'm sure have heard or assumed lamonts old promoter couldn't get a decent purse bid to attract big fights. Also because after the Lucas fight Saturday at the post fight conference dlh promised Lucas bigger fights. I'm thinking gbp is gonna match them up for lamonts title which I think is a helluva fight.
What's everyone else's thoughts/predictions? |

i can't see lamont beating matthysse. he's a very good boxer...but i don't think he has the power to keep lucas off of him. should be interesting while it lasts.

I like Lamont in this fight especially if he can get in the late rounds. If Lamont can avoid early KD's in this fight he can outwork Lucas and take the decision. I wonder if Lamont's testosterone issue will be a factor

This is a good opportunity for Lamont and GB. If he fights Matthysse I see a UD for Lamont.

Good matchup, but I'm pretty sure Lucas outworks him.

I'm just glad that this dude (and hopefully his brother) got his business together. That free agent stuff wasn't for him, and the PED stuff made it worse.
I wont lie and say that I didn't see Bob snatching up Lamont and his brother. Truthfully, I thought Bob was gonna play damage control with the PED issue, and get Lamont into one of those 2Pac & Deathrow Records-type of contracts. Lol |

2pac and death row? I think that's an accurate analogy of Arum and TR lol

Lamont Peterson. He won't make the rookie mistake that Mike Dallas made.
His first match can't be against Matthysse. He needs to get his timing back first. Poor timing's a disaster against heavy punchers. |

2pac and death row? I think that's an accurate analogy of Arum and TR lol Yep, pretty much sums it up. I cant hold it against Bob though, he's just doing his job...in a monopoly-type fashion. I'm almost sure that guys like Trump, Gates, and a few others, didn't get to where they are today, by being nice and passive. Lol Lamont Peterson. He won't make the rookie mistake that Mike Dallas made. His first match can't be against Matthysse. He needs to get his timing back first. Poor timing's a disaster against heavy punchers. Mike Dallas was nowhere near ready for that fight. His facial expressions from the opening press tour, 'til he stepped foot in the ring, told it all. Dude was NERVOUS. I'm surprised that he wasn't in the ring passing gas like that dude on Diggstown. |
