Given that last weekend we had controversial scoring in Rios vs Abril bout, I was wondering what do yo guys use for scoring the fights? Piece of paper and pencil, calculator, app? I've been a boxing fan since forever, and I would like to share with the boxing community my application to score fights. It is called JudgePad: Boxing and MMA. It is available for iPhone and I'm having great feedback from the community.
I'm the developer, and I would love to hear what do think of it and how to improve it in the future. The app is available both free and paid version so you can go ahead and try it. |

If I'm watching a fight on my computer, I just go back and forth with notepad, and score every round. If I'm watching on TV, I try to use memory, usually don't bother scoring round by round, but have a solid perception of who I think should have won.

Good stuff re. the app. When I do score matches, which isn't all of the time I just use pen and paper.

Ahh, you use the Texas style of scoring. They should try booze, rather than that crack pipe that they pass around when scoring those fights. Haha had me dying. I just score mentally. But that app looks handy, I'm gonna have to check it out. |
