In a Malinaggi fight, it's almost always whether you prefer his volume of landed blows over the opponents more damaging but less frequent blows. Cano did his hook in the middle rounds regularly and he scored a knockdown. However, he got peppered by the Paulies jab all night. That eventually became a 1-2 combination. I also think its very telling that that cut over Cano's eye came from a punch. I had Paulie winning but it could go either way.

I realize that some guys in combat sports will never have substantial power, but I'm wondering if Paulie's been working on it. Im not sure he's cool with winning on points and volume, or does he even desire to knock a guy out anymore.

Cano won, there should be an immediate rematch ordered, the kid didn't get a fair shake because Paulie is the more popular fighter plus he was fighting in his home town.
