Having seen him before the De Leon fight I thought he was good, well schooled, hard to hit and can KO you coming foward or counterpunching. Then I saw him against De Leon and he took him apart like a real pro should do.

So it is my opinion that he is the goods. What do you think? If not who would you like to see him fight to prove he is the goods? Seeing how he dispatched De Leon I would like to see him take on Gerry Penalosa.

Gerry would provide a tough test. He's really good defensively, tough as nails, great highly skilled fighter. But I think Lopez wins a UD.

And I think Vazquez-Lopez would be Cotto-Marg of the 122 division except the boxer is the bigger guy in this case..I would pick Lopez in that too. I really like watching Vazquez fight...tough as nails, good power...really solid fighter...but I think JuanMa has too many advantages including size.

Watch out for this 20 year old named Bernabe Conception. He's REALLY talented...hits hard and has very fast hands.

Is Juanma Lopez the goods? yes yes ye yes

This kid IMO will be an all time great I know thats a pretty bold statement but I really believe he will be the next big PR star. JuanMa can crack and his boxing skills are damn good aswell. I see him taking over the 122 ans 126lb weight class.

Hes definitely looked impressive so far. I dont know, I just hope we will get to see some great matchups in the future. Also not forgetting about the Molitor vs. Caballero winner.

Juanma is the real deal....

IMO-- He KO's Rafa and he stops Vazquez on cuts.

With his personality, he could become as big as Tito-- if he keeps dominating and moving up...

Can you imagine if Juanma moves to 26' and Gamboa stays-- a fight like that would be OUTRAGEOUS!

He is a big 22' he could be a legit 3 division champ easily...

So you guys think he can be famous. Imagine he cleans up 122 and Linares cleans 126. The 130 and below divisions are getting stacked.

I think JuanMa takes Linares and anyone from 130lb and below right now though i think his toughest challenges are Vasquez and Marquez.

Q&A with Israel Vazquez

QUOTE
Do you have specific opponents in mind for those final bouts of your career?

Well the ideal fights would be Jorge Arce, Rafael Marquez, a third bout with Oscar Larios and I would like to end my career by facing Juan Manuel Lopez of Puerto Rico. Those are all very strong fighters, but I still have the skill and the will to beat them. Plus those are the fighters that would bring me the biggest purses, I have sacrificed so much for this sport, all my youth, all the pain all the blood and its now time to get something back. I want large significant purses because I've worked very hard to be where I am today.
