Prime against prime. Toney kills him. No round by round needed, Toney would KO him real early. Mitchell, Hopkins, and Jones had him down early, Toney would finish him off.

I don't see an early Toney KO, just a sustained beatdown that results in a late stoppage. See Toney vs. Iran Barkley. Obviously different styles of fighters but a similar outcome.

I definitely think Joe's southpaw stance, hand speed, and slappy flurries would make it a more competitive fight than that.


I think this would be competitive. Toney wasn't always the most consistent guy despite his talent.

I can only do these match-ups on the proviso that both fighters turn up at their peak, in peak physical and mental condition.

If that's the case then I see Toney via 11th round KO.
