Pending on watching the interview myself, it sounds like Larry Merchant was talking about NATIONALITY and not race.

So Merchant saying if these two white guys were from Montana which is full of white guys they'd be more well received? Hmmmm....something doesn't compute.

I agree with those who say it's about nationality more than race. The point was if they were AMERICANS there would be more love for them here, and that's probably true.

I agree that nationality plays part of the equation, but there are so many that claim race doesnt matter. Larry didnt choose Brooklyn or the Bronx or Atlanta for a reason. He said Montana which implies white. He put it out there and it has become an interesting point of discussion. Despite the few folks who come on here and want me to shut up and dont play the race card. I think its an interesting discussion. Larry Merchant thought it was relevant to bring up. I'm just nodding in agreement.

Co-sign. I finally watched the quick 30 seconds that Larry Merchant mentioned this topic and I don't see how this is about race. The Klitschko's are white, at least identified as white, in the simplified spectrum of race. It seemed to be more of an issue of them being "non-American", than implying they'd be more popular if they were white, beecause, well, they already are.

Most of what you're saying, Mr. Factor, I would normally agree with, or at least empathize with, but I just see it as very off-topic concerning this specific situation.
