So what do you think it means?

It means they fought the top guys and toughest challenges at welterweight.

But man, Margarito and Cotto are straight garbage, no doubt. They got nothing on Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah, Carlos Baldomir, Hatton at welter and Marquez at welter. Yes, their promoters kept Margarito and Cotto and Clottey from Floyd...Mosley, he ducked Floyd to fight guys like Vernon Forrest and Winky Wright...in fact, he is ducking Floyd to fight Berto now.

Baldomir >> Margarito.

No doubt!

In fact, Baldomir > Margarito + Cotto + Mosley + Clottey.

No need to fight the fights when we got equations like that. Look above, man...it shows that Floyd did fight the toughest fights at welter. Margarito, Mosley and Cotto may have all fought each other...and Margarito may have also fought Williams...and Clottey may have also fought Margarito and Cotto, but it don't mean shit because the only one of them that fought Baldomir was Clottey - and despite the fact Clottey was dominating and winning clean on every card even though he had 3 points deducted...he lost by DQ because Baldomir was a monster.

I mean, it's simple...this shit ain't chess, it's checkers.

So Mitchell, Brusseles, Gatti, N'Dou and Hatton were all more worthy than these guys? Haha.
They are better than Micheal Jennings..Ottke Urkal..and Alphonso Gomez..haha.

At least Mitchell actually beat Champions for his title.

Q.HOW MANY CHAMPS HAS COTTO TAKEN BELTS FROM??

A.NONE..He merely squats on vacated titles.

Let's say Tony was the WBC..WBA...IBF....Champion

And

Baldomir was the WBO "Champion"

Had Floyd fought Baldo under those circumstances...THAT....would have been ducking.

Baldomir would have given Shane a better fight than did Tony....hell...DAVID ESTRADA gave Mosley more trouble than that BUM Margarito.

Baldomir >> Margarito

It isn't just about Margarito...he is just one guy. Beating Baldomir covers not fighting Margarito, Mosley, Cotto, Clottey and Williams. Didn't you read the equation?

Floyd beat Baldomir. No need to fight Margarito, Mosley, Cotto Clottey or Williams. Plain and simple. Like I said, it ain't chess, it's checkers.

NOTE: (For the purposes of clarity since it is obviously needed, no one has an issue with Floyd beating Baldomir. People have an issue with Floyd not fighting any of the top welters after that, namely Mosley, Margarito, Cotto, Clottey and Williams to a less extent since he is really too big. People feel as though Floyd's run at welter is pedestrian with wins over Mitchell, Judah coming off a loss, Baldomir, the junior welter champ, a brief retirement and then the lightweight champ. People think it is laughable that one might try to use the Baldomir win as rationale for not fighting the top guys in the division, regardless of the fact that Floyd fought him after fighting the guy he previously beat.)

NOTE 2: (Cotto beat Mosley. Margarito beat Cotto. Mosley beat Margarito. The logic you use is so flawed it sounds like you are a Floyd sound board. Margarito lost to Mosley long after he and Floyd talked about fighting. Floyd fought Judah coming off a loss to Baldomir who had something like 9 losses. Thinking you know what will happen is not a reason to not want to see the fight.)

Baldomir had 9 losses but he aot of those losses happened early in his career. One thing cant be denied - he was the linear champion and he was on a good run before fighting Mayweather.

And you really can't blame either of them for taking that fight. Baldomir - highest payday to date and a chance at P4P status. Mayweather - fight for the Welterweight title.

I think Mayweather will eventually fight the people he NEEDS to fight.

You are pretty much speaking to my point in all of this. You cannot just say this guy is garbage and that guy is not deserving, especially when they have the names of Mosley, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey and Williams. People can call any of them garbage, but they aren't - and you don't get credit for the fights by fighting someone else.

Moreover, in boxing, you do not get credit for guys you may fight...you kind of have to fight them.

Floyd's ability has never come into question, it is his willingness that has throughout the run at welter.

Until these fights actually start happening Mayweather's welterweight resume is suspect and he remains open to this type of criticism.
