Hey Johnny I lost my fight...1st loss..damn.. My opponent was real fast and strong and he was going for the KO in the first round. I didn't feel comfortable in the middle of the ring I dunno my feet felt heavy. So I rope-a-doped him lol. Funny thing is he didn't even land a single clean head shot after round one but he won on workrate. I landed the more clean punches I got him with some good check left hooks. But damn I only got myself to blame I took this fight on short notice and really didn't train or spar in preparation hence me fighting 20 pounds above my natural weight. But I had fun in there I was nervous in round 1 but after that I was fighting a good fight with my back against the ropes.

Don't sweat it man..As Holyfield said,a setback is only an opportunity for a comeback..Just get back to your normal weight and things should get back to how they were..20 lbs is a lot of extra weight and is probably why your feet felt so heavy since they aren't used to that much more weight in an actual fight..I really hate amateur scoring systems..Sometimes it's all about the clean punches,sometimes its workrate,and so on..Its so inconsistant..I wouldn't worry about a loss 20 lbs over what you fight at..Just a good learning experience.. |
