It is quite possible that Joe could be looking like Frazier in there. He was not mobile enough despite being given credit above for being such a classic boxer. Barrow was great inside, yet he had a vulnerable chin. George pre Ali was a juggernaut physically and had a jab and he could move. Louis could not evade the power. His chin would betray him. The Foreman that destroyed Frazier... that version of Foreman no way in hell Louis survives. Once he gets hurt Foreman finishes him. People talk like Foreman is not a great heavyweight... Louis does not survive.

The Foreman that beat Frazier vs. the Louis that beat Max Schmeling is what were talking about..Foreman had been knocked down by weaker punchers than Louis as well..Louis would of put it on him in my opinion and real bad..Foreman would swing wide shots while Louis would be punching between Foreman's arms with brutal shots.. |

If the 6" foot barley 200 pound Jersey Joe walcott could floor him 4 times in their meetings Foreman sends him home by KO... wide shots or not... I would also argue that George had a better chin.

Many people here don't realize the amount of skill Joe Louis brought to the table. He was truly ahead of his time.

louis was a flat footed slugger with excellent technique but being flatfooted big george destroys him... his chin would betray him and being 195 pounds dont help his chances
