Froch has been doing a lot of work to the body in sparring for this fight. Abraham don't like it to the body (notice how he has his shorts so high?) I see Froch out boxing him early, digging big shots into Arthur's midriff and going into the 2nd half of the bout with a commanding lead. BUT that is when it all becomes a little bit dodgy for me. Abraham, if he is able to, will up his game, and if he can force Carl into a brawl I see him stopping Froch. However, I'm banking on Carl to be smart enough not to engage in a slug fest, to lose a bit of the bravado and to eek out a slim UD.

When Abraham was outboxed by Dirrell, he resorted to hitting him with a blatant shot while the man was down to try and gain some advantage due to his frustration. Another thing is that Abraham is just not busy enough. His strategy too often consists of just waiting for his opponent to tire out. I don't think that gets it done. And contrary to what most feel, Froch DOES have the power to hurt him, if not stop him.

If Abraham has not made adjustments to his game (a la PWill), if he dances the same boring dance, then I agree with you that Froch will pull out the Decision. But, I think Abraham is coming out of his shell in this fight early. Froch will not be able to resist brawling and Abraham will punish him into submission in the middle rounds.

Although Froch has plenty of pop in his punches and can hurt Abraham, especially to the body, or with one of his uppercuts, he absolutely 100% has to avoid a brawl. Pascal buzzed Carl and when he does get clocked he tends to momentarily freeze....if he does that with Abraham he will be decapitated. I'm hoping he is smart enough to box for 12 rounds because I see that as his best chance for victory.

I just don't think it is in him to resist the brawl, which is why I like Froch. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if he managed to get Abraham out of there.

Yeah but the only reservation I have about Carls mental strength is it borders on bravado and Abraham is the wrong fighter to get overly brave against. Froch is the sort of bloke who thinks "You sayin' I can't go toe to toe with you? You questioning my manhood?"

If Froch keeps his feet moving I think he can win. He's guaranteed to win 5 rounds because Abraham will be taking them off, if Froch doesn't just stand and trade punches he could put more rounds in the bank.

The biggest problem with the fight I see is Froch is a fighter that wants to brawl with you and rough you up and Abraham is just too dangerous for that.
