i think the real question is why the Chisora fight is a deal breaker for Haye when it's really a nonissue.

to be honest i think Wlad wants to fight Chisora too so it wont matter if Haye punks out again. Wlad already waited for Haye once and he got dicked around and left without an opponent.

Because according to Haye's camp Wlad is proposing that they fight 9 weeks after Wlad fights Chisora. They don't think it will happen and neither do I.

I could also switch this around and say why fight Chisora when Haye is apparently ready to finally face up to him? It's a far more relevant fight, a chance to pick up another title and the opportunity to send Haye into retirement.

As for Haye dicking him around last time, I can kinda understand that. The Klits had him screwed into a ridiculous contract and he saw the chance to win a title elsewhere and give himself better level at the negotiating table. I'm NOT a Haye fan but it was a smart move IMHO and I woulda done the same thing.

I'm not sure what to think about this case, but I know that in the past it was all Haye that was the issue. I really don't know what to think about this situation.

As for the part I bolded. When I first read about the contract, I thought it was an issue, but not so much anymore. If Haye won, he had to face Vitali or Wlad again? That isn't a big deal, most champions with leverage do that anyways. Plus, if Haye were to beat Wlad, why wouldn't he want to have an undisputed fight with Vitali?
From my understanding, Chisora has signed a similar contract, and for him, he thought it was a privelidge that he could possibly have two consecutive shots at world titles. I suppose that's the difference. Chisora looked at it as an honour and something that should be done in boxing, while Haye looked at it as a problem to be forced to fight a brother for another world title.

I thought part of the contract was he had to face Vitali and then if he won that would have to rematch Wlad again without any mandatories in between. That's crazy.

Has Chisora signed the same 3 fight deal? That's tough if that's the case. It is a slightly different case though, Chisora has only 14 pro fights and a limited public profile even in Britain. He is more likely to take what he can get.

Haye has options and he took them. I can't understand why Wlad isn't taking this golden opportunity to get Haye in the ring.

The whole problem here is the Chisora fight and it's a joke how an undeserving challenger can get in the way of a fight most people want to see. It's a voluntary defense and therefore Wlad has no obligation to take it.

Wlad gave Haye a date. Haye didn't want it. It's not that hard to understand.

Bitches don't grow balls. That is a scientific, genetic fact. Wlad has never ducked anyone in his career, and his comp record proves it. The same cannot be said of David Haye. He has a history of bitching out, so David Haye gets all the blame here.

Phil Anselmo's opinion is spot on. Pretty funny to see him giving his drunken opinion on boxing.

The first contract that Wlad presented wall bullshit! If Haye were to beat Wlad then Haye would have to fight Vitali then fight Wlad again. But I also believe that Haye pulled out because his promotional company was going bankrupt.

QUOTE
“Tomek Adamek has agreed to fight Wladimir Klitschko in a soccer stadium in Wroclaw, Poland, in September, in front of 52,000 fans. The deal is done, we just have to put some signatures on paper,” this blockbuster news from Adamek manager, Zyggi Rozalski changes a boxing landscape for 2011.

“I always promised my fans that I will try do something, what was never done in history of boxing: win world title in the three heaviest weight classes. I have two titles, in the light heavyweight and cruiserweight divisions. Just one, in the heavyweight division is left. I will be a heavyweight world champion,” said Adamek after agreeing to fight current IBF/WBO titleholder Wladimir Klitschko .

Rozalski added “We discussed this fight for long time, but in the last couple of days, talking we Shelly Finkel, we just decided to do it. We don’t have an exact date, it has to be agreed between HBO and German television, but it will be most likely in the late September. Both sides agreed that fight will take place in a soccer stadium in Wroclaw where we can have up to 52,000 fans. This way we can accommodate all the Adamek fans from Poland, and Klitschko supporters from Germany and Ukraine,” added Adamek’s manager.

“Like planned, I will have one more fight on April 16 before fighting Wladimir. My team will decide who I will be fighting in the next couple of days,” said Adamek. “Most important for me is the fact that I will be fighting for something I was always dreaming about. I will be ready. I will be a heavyweight champion of the world this September!”

Well, that's that then. No chance Wlad is going to face Haye now in 2011. Just not possible IMO. I don't know...maybe Wlad is thinking, "You messed me about last year, you claimed I needed you....well, I don't need you and now I think I'll mess you about!"

Haye is most likely regretting ever making it public that he plans to retire in October.

Still, I'm not happy about this because it looks like another big fight fight fans were keen to see just ain't gonna happen.

P.S, R.I.P Gary Mason. Killed yesterday on his bicycle. 38 fights, 37 wins. Only defeat to Lennox Lewis and a genuinely nice bloke.
