Its been a while since we've done one of these. Let me start it off with Nasty Nas himself.
New York State of Mind Rappers I monkey flip 'em with the funky rhythm I be kickin Musician, inflictin composition of pain I'm like Scarface sniffin cocaine Holdin a M-16, see with the pen I'm extreme, now Bulletholes left in my peepholes I'm suited up in street clothes Hand me a nine and I'll defeat foes Y'all know my steelo with or without the airplay I keep some E&J, sittin bent up in the stairway Or either on the corner bettin Grants with the celo champs Laughin at baseheads, tryin to sell some broken amps G-Packs get off quick, forever niggaz talk shit Remeniscing about the last time the Task Force flipped Niggaz be runnin through the block shootin Time to start the revolution, catch a body head for Houston Once they caught us off guard, the Mac-10 was in the grass and I ran like a cheetah with thoughts of an assassin Pick the Mac up, told brothers, "Back up," the Mac spit Lead was hittin niggaz one ran, I made him backflip Heard a few chicks scream my arm shook, couldn't look Gave another squeeze heard it click yo, my shit is stuck Try to cock it, it wouldn't shoot now I'm in danger Finally pulled it back and saw three bullets caught up in the chamber So now I'm jetting to the building lobby and it was filled with children probably couldn't see as high as I be (So whatchu sayin?) It's like the game ain't the same Got younger niggaz pullin the triggers bringing fame to they name and claim some corners, crews without guns are goners In broad daylight, stickup kids, they run up on us Fo'-fives and gauges, Macs in fact Same niggaz'll catch a back to back, snatchin yo' cracks in black There was a snitch on the block gettin niggaz knocked So hold your stash until the coke price drop I know this crackhead, who said she gotta smoke nice rock And if it's good she'll bring ya customers in measuring pots, but yo You gotta slide on a vacation Inside information keeps large niggaz erasin and they wives basin It drops deep as it does in my breath I never sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death Beyond the walls of intelligence, life is defined I think of crime when I'm in a New York state of mind Keep em coming. |

Eminem - 313
So what, you know about a sweet MC, in the 313 You don't know shit so when you see one flee You can be Run-D, you'll never beat the MC I'll stop the alphabet at S and got it down to a T I'm sure your bound to agree, a sweet MC crashes the spot I'll make the roof hot like I was Rock Master Scott Your ass forgot, so just in case you don't remember me I'll run your brain around the block to jog your fucking memory It's either them or me man, kill or be killed You will and be sealed your casket closed you still gonna be billed My facilities filled with fans, packed to capacity I'll send a rapper back with the crack of his ass shitty If he's acting soft and he cowers He better come cleaner then Jay Rue jacking off when he showers You flowers got no clout with a thing You could date a stick of dynamite and wouldn't go out with a bang I showered the slang, simple as A,B,C's Skip over the D's and rock the microphone with E's Dethrone MC's and I'ma max alone Relax your dome like a solo from a saxophone So facts are known, writers get treated with shocks I rock a beat harder then you could beat it with rocks I'm greeted with flocks, of fellow follower's singers You couldn't make the fans throw up their hands if they swallowed their fingers But you can bring yours let's see what you got But don't front and never try to be what you're not Cause you can be quick, jump the candlestick, burn your back And fuck Jill on a hill, but you still ain't Jack |

^^^^^^Yeah that was incredible. Especially those bolded ones....
Continuing with Big Daddy Kane How U Get A Record Deal? On the Black Ceasar tip, my dialogue is just like a frank inside of a supermarket, raw dog I'm the untouchable, never to be took out A Sexy Mother.. ooh child, Prince look out! I'm keepin girls of all shades on my trail From a Sister Act down to a Single White Female Cause when I hit the skins they all say, "Damn Kane - you knock out the Bush like a presidential campaign" But if you think that lickin toes makes me weak you better treat me like Freddy Krueger: don't sleep I write raps, ready to rip and rock real rough rhymes Run in rugged and raw, rapidly ruinin roaches Point blank - I spell murder to a bum All you backwards rappers - REDRUM, REDRUM! Cause I do em somethin awful, break em down to a morsel Makin sure that you're no longer adorable Rappers get so quiet when I'm comin, that if they shitted a dictionary, you couldn't get a word from em It's sort of a tradition in Bed-Stuy to do or die So steppin to me is suicide I couldn't think of a rapper takin mines I feel like Ali, "I'm the greatest of all times" Floatin like a butterfly, stingin like a bee Yeah I know this ain't boxin but that's still my pedigree But as for you, you have no appeal How you get a record deal? LMAO at the lyrics in bold. Hahaha. |

Nas is gay as hell. I can't believe that guy still has fans. Nothing lamer than multi-millionaires rapping about a life of crime. Unless of course those multi-millionaires really are still living a life of crime. In which case, that makes them complete fucking morons. Commercial Hip Hop is dead. Let it rest in peace. The only real hip hop being done now is the shit being sold out of some dude's trunk, with a CD case designed in MS paint or scribbled in magic marker. Winning.

Well for a while now Nas has not really gone down the "gangsta rap" way. He's been rapping more conciously for quite some time now. His album with Damian Marley is amazing. But I do agree with your point. Unfortunately hip hop became more about entertainment and image as opposed to skills and talent. There is some good hip hop out there still. Your not gonna find it in clubs and radios though. |

^^^^^^That sounds pretty good, MAXY.
I'll have to check the rest of it out. The new Raekwon "Shaolin vs Wu-Tang" is excellent too. |

Snoop bringing out some old 313 by Eminem!!
If that's the case then here is the 1st verse of Tonite, which rolls word, after word very nicely. I'm getting mad love, I'm snuggling hugs Druggling thugs, smuggling drugs, juggling jobs, guzzling jugs So here's a toast to federal checks Hetero sex, unaffordable medical debts, huh We travel in packs and ravel in facts and gravel in cracks To find babbling Max, gaffling tracks I grapple an axe for them baffling acts The mysterious stab in the backs who dabble in wax Still in my yard when I sculpted the culprit The tall shit that will end up with his skull split Then I buried the hatchet, I carried on my back Butterfingers is here and it's necessary to scratch it Baby all I wanna do is swallow one and two Smoke a little bit and follow one of you Back home when the party ends So tonight I'm dropping naughty hints To the finest women in the audience |

I think Nas was one of the all time greats... I agree with the rest of this post though. This shit we got going now is fucking horrible. |
