With the recent NFL players (retired) coming out and admitting that they are gay along with some retired NBA players, I was wondering how well would an openly gay boxer that was extremely talented (on the lines or Martinez or Bradely) do in the sport of boxing? Would this harm the sport or would people look at the boxer's performance. Would it hinder the boxer from getting big money fights or would the boxer just be known as the gay boxer? Would yawl support the boxer or shune him? How would the boxing community act?

being gay isn't wrong but its odd. i think its change in the mind somewhere. since humans are programmed to reproduce. yet homosexuals dont. so somewhere down the line that programming changed or was already changed in the womb. since this information is stored in genes it can be a genetic disorder. thats just one way to look at it. no harm intended to any homosexuals by this post

I think you're partialy right. It's definately a case a different wiring. I'm not sure in the majority of cases it's a 'choice.' there are many examples of homosexual behaviour in the animal kingdom which does not come with the same social mores and stigma's of human society.

I've had some gay friends over the years and worked with a few and I can't think of one that actually 'chose' their orientation. In many cases they tried for many years to have relationships with members of the opposite sex in order to fit in and also to avoid being ostracized form their families. In a couple of cases when they did finally come out exactly what they feared would happen happened. They lost friends and contact from their families.

Live and let live is what I say. However what I also can't understand is the absolute proliferation of 'gayness' on TV almost like it's a fashion statement. It baffles me. Isn't my straightness good enough anymore? Are we heterosexuals now facing discrimination? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

And yeah Allmenjoi8 we're gonna have to hear what those 3 words were........................
