^if you actually listen to Roger's instructions, he's actually more concise than people give him credit for. he's extremely good at delineating just what floyd has to do against any particular opponent, and just as importantly, he doesn't talk too much in the corner. as george foreman use to say, you don't want to talk to those natural talents like Floyd too much, you just have to give them the general idea of what to do. I don't think there is anybody better suited to him than Roger.
watching that again, i don't think jr was going to lose his cool. This post has been edited by Eighty88Eight: Aug 28 2011, 01:38 PM |

He did a good job of keeping his cool (sarcasm). Dude went overboard big time... i mean i don't think he was about to take a swing or anything. it does go to show that floyd is probably capable of inflicting violence on someone over some bullshit reason. he's never been noted as being so hot tempered like that... but maybe his daddy just pisses him off. |

This may be the sole reason behind his antics (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dntknw.gif) |

Ready for another one, Fitzie? |

delineating doesn't connote "laborious detail". he gives floyd a concise outline between rounds and he usually doesn't exhaust himself in telling floyd to throw this or that combination as other trainers normally do.

He looks like he's slacking on his training. Looking kinda flabby in the dressing room. I hope he doesn't look like that come time to weigh in. In respect to the conflict, I have no comment. Boys will be boys. There's always going to be some kind of rift between father and son when the background has saw someone being abused. The kid Jr. says that his father used to beat him when he was a child. I know that fact can make someone want to get some revenge one day. I hope they fix it for good one day. Big Floyd wants to see him get his ass whooped or knocked out now I reckon. That's just crazy. I don't think big Floyd wants to see him lose because thats his claim to fame and in his eyes the fighter he created personally and like he said blood is thicker than mud(he would have trained DLH against him if that was the case)besides we all know he has the plan to beat his son because he truly knows FMJ's Weaknesses. They will get it straight. |
