Just read their columns on the Rios vs Abril fight.
I used to follow Kim but he's become a TR puppet for the past 2 years or so. He is the worst and the most shameless one. Then you have Iole who is just happy to get a quote from Arum and twists his story as if it's Arum's story. Avila is another moron who is in Arum's pockets. These guys are not ignorant. They understand boxing and they follow it. They are corrupt and shameless though and much worse than the judges who gave the fight to Rios. I don't think Rafael is TR paid employee although he had his biases but these three oh my!

And Pacman is offering winner take all to Floyd? Yeah right, for all we know Floyd will beat Pacquiao to death only to call an ambulance for the Pacman and escort him on a stretcher as controversial split decision winner.

for the most part....all writers are biased one way or the other. it's no secret who the top rank shills are and which sites are pro-top rank. they are also the same sites that happen to bash floyd mayweather or any al haymon fighter on a regular basis. it's expected from some of these hacks that call themselves journalists or writers. most of them are not even college educated. let a guy like tom hauser, who i USED to love to read, write an article...and watch them all follow suit in their own work. he was one of the guys who has been a critic of haymon from day one. any critical look at one of his articles on the matter is just an illustration of how this whole thing works. it was apparent to me from day one that he was championing arum's cause. i don't know it to be true...but a friend of mine recently told me that hauser is actually on top ranks pay roll which makes it all even more disturbing to me. a hack like dan rafael has never had my respect...and his writings have always been suspect to me. the guy knows very little about the sport and most of what he writes seems to be inspired by who fed him his last meal. he showed his true colors in an article where he attacked the father of tito trinidad for golden boy promotions. papa trinidad had made it a point to let the public know how dlh worked. dlh had constantly been using tito's name to generate interest but had absolutely no interest in facing him. dan rafael turns around and writes an article attacking papa trinidad and saying he was broke and a bunch of other stuff that had absolutely nothing to do with the situation. pen for hire.

the rest of the hacks aren't worthy of having their names mentioned in my post...but i can tell u that they are nothing more than glorified fans who write to get free comps to fights they could not afford to attend otherwise. it's a rare occasion when a writer can do a piece that isn't biased one way or the other. i take it all with a grain of salt. i love the sport and have for all of my life. i don't need to hear some jackasses like merchant or lampley explain to me what i am seeing with my own eyes nor do i need to read it on some site. i do love discussing it with other fans. boxing is beautiful without the commentary...written or otherwise. talk is cheap. they say the pen is mightier than the sword...but most of these internet hacks are writing checks their asses can't cash.
