hopkins got his ass handed to him by a younger/better fighter. there was a reason he avoided chad for all those years...and there's a reason he faked injury in that last fight. u all saw why on saturday. that was the most convincing loss he's had since the jones fight. his cheating tactics...the constant head butting and all the bullshit he gets away with is pathetic. Dawson is NOT a better fighter. He may be younger, more athletic, but not more skilled. You've been a Hopkins hater for years, on this and other message boards, and never give him any due, so NOW you crowing about his defeat. I see others giving him due, hell Dawson gave him his due, and never had him in serious trouble, but yet he "got his ass handed to him". Really? you talking about him faking injuries and avoiding a fighter who can't/won't draw flies. Won't you admit you hate Hopkins and save everybody's time? BTW, who are YOU training? |

I was serious though. I didn't see this dominant, clear-cut Dawson win. He looked great in some spots late, when he was landing those sneaky lead uppercuts, but it's a 12 round fight. Bland and mostly uneventful. Even or maybe 7-5 Dawson when I saw it live.

So you've spent years following daprof around different messageboards? |

Bottom line..the damn near 50 year old Hopkins was not dominated by Dawson.. and correctly put - Dawson is not a better fighter than Hopkins. Styles make fights and style wise the younger dawson is a tough fight for Hopkins to win, yet at 47 he is damned good still very competitive. getting in the ring at 47 and going the distance in a championship fight is an accomplishment in and of itself. something Dawson will never come close to duplicating
