Since the other Showtime thread is the one that starts at 10. I'm in this one for the Showtime Extreme.
So, George Groves in one that he's expected to win. Rd. 2 - some nice body shots from Groves. Ouch Groves landed a nice succession of punches. |

I admittedly don't know much about Olympic boxing. Never was a fan of the scoring and the head gear but I tried to give it another shot this weekend. Watched a few matches. I like that kid Errol Spence.

The American team is looking very good, I feel for the kid Marcus Browne who lost today. Atlas is right, he had a lead going into the 3rd and final round but the pressure of the moment seemed to just grab hold of him and he couldn't handle it. Spence, Diaz looked good yesterday..Team USA has a HW that I think has a strong chance to medal and Rau'shee Warren is another fighter who I'm very high on
I love amateur boxing, I've been to many local and national events and they are more entertaining them some pro fights. I hate the scoring system as so many do but it's good AIBA is doing away with it after these Olympic games This post has been edited by mrchitown: Jul 30 2012, 04:46 PM |
