So 50 cent thinks Boxing should adapt the theatrics of say the WWE to help sell events. I'm trying to see the big picture here as a fan of both sport (except the PG Era of WWE) but I.. I.. I.. boxing is fine the way it is. Maybe guys can use a bit of character to help sell there selves to the public, maybe stage performances can be given in between or during ring walks, maybe, but we don't need anything more extra than that.

I don't think the WWE experience would work well in boxing. Moreso than the ring action, WWE is driven on the storyline, the soap opera aspect and the in-ring interviews. It's really entertainment first, sports second.

Boxing is mostly all about the fight. I go to the fights to see the fight ... not hear music or interviews (ring card girls always provide a nice diversion though). I think that a show like HBO's 24/7 does a nice enough job creating an interesting back-story. Fabricated "beef" is lame. It's lame in hip-hop & it would be lame in boxing.
