Heard about it a couple of days ago over at ESB. They just leading a lamb to slaughter, he has a minimal shot at beating Bradley. Seems like 50 and Arum cashing out on some fighters Mikey Garcia called Gamboa out after his fight, and it seems that TR is interested in making that fight too. Regardless, I don't think Gamboa beats either fighter, might as well take the better payday. Also, Rafael said that he's heard rumblings that TR is willing to take step aside money in order to allow Bradley to fight Mayweather in May. step aside money for who? |

50 is going to get this kid killed. Then he'll be ripping yet another "friend" in the media as he always does. Gamboa should have said thanks but no thanks to 50 to begin with and kept that line of communication, most importantly the gym ties, to Mayweather. After Gamboa's last fight, I kinda lost all enthusiasm for him. I wanna see him fight Juan Manuel Lopez still for some reason (I like to be able to check off the fights I always wanted to see lol). After that, I could give a flying fuck about this guy anymore lol. He doesn't seem to take himself serious enough so I find it hard to take him serious myself. i think he's a foreign kid in a foreign land with suspicions of everyone including the closest ppl to him. i think he's still trying to figure it all out. sad part is...he probably isn't educated enough to understand any of it and is being pulled in several directions. he has the athleticism and talent to be something great...unfortunately, he doesn't have the ppl around him to help make that happen. i'd like to see him knock some of the rust off and make a serious run..one weight division at a time, starting with his current division. once he's done that...then he can get to the broners and bradleys of the world. |

i don't get it...who is the mandatory that's getting stepped aside by who? My bad, let me explain...the step aside money would be for TR and Arum to allow Bradley to challenge Mayweather on May 4th Here's the link to the article http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/post/_/...-in-discussions |

If it happens then Bradley will be one happy S.o.B.
Interesting that we haven't heard anything form Andre Dirrell. Obviously pure speculation on my part, but might he be trying to get out of his contract with 50 before his promoter puts him in the ring with a heayweight? |

Hope this one doesn't happen. I mean, what tha fuck for? What is it proving?
It's starting to remind me of Dawson/Ward. Dawson was looking like an idiot, saying that he's gonna be the next Super Middleweight Champion of the world. What sense does that make, KNOWING that Dawson is super slender for 175, so 168 was pushing it. He took a pay cut, an asshoopin', and he quit. All of that, for what? Gamboa is somewhat stuck in that weight class identity crisis, where it's hard to find competition in his class. He can have a good run at 130, and get railroaded by Broner at 135. No way in hell Gamboa needs to skip up to 147 and take that beating from Tim. Its bad enough that he almost moved up to 135 for the Rios fight, but to try another 3 weight classes?! Give me a break. As a matter of fact, give him the fight, let him get his ass kicked, and get him out of the picture. He's a vulnerable fighter that's stuck in the weight class identity crisis...at least Donaire has enough skill to stay out of harm's way when he moves up. They may as well make Gamboa/Lopez at 130 (to see if it has any sense of spark left in it) |
