Legend and former multi-weight ruler James Toney says he “has the fire back,” ahead of his upcoming (April 28th) Australian adventure with unbeaten giant Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne. Toney is 44-years-old now, and he has not fought since stopping a tough but overmatched Bobby Gunn a year ago.

Yet despite this, and the despite fact that “Lights Out” has not beaten a ranked heavyweight since his 2008 points win over Fres Oquendo, Toney feels he is not only back to his best, but that he is the best heavyweight out there. A big win over 33-year-old Browne, 15-0(14) will, Toney insists, lead to a fight with either “one of the Bitschko Sisters, or David Gay.”

If you have to ask, odds are you already know the answer to the question lol

He gives some of the best interviews but he needs to hang'em up. When he said he'd drop to fight B-Hop, I literally LOL'd. it's like he don't want to stop until he gets brutally beaten

Probably more then that, he said he's coming into his next fight at 220225. He just doesn't get it. Not only is his career past prime, he needs to take better care of his body

This guy pisses me off so much because to be completely honest, I've always been a BIG fan of his. I LOVE his boxing technique and skill. He just does not take himself serious enough in terms of his dedication to the sport. His disrespecting his own skill and the sport by coming into fights in that condition. Skill wise, he IS better than every single heavyweight in the sport. However, you just can't come in looking like a glazed up Christmas ham and expect to beat any notable fighter...even if it is the heavyweight division. I'll tell you one thing though, I'd like his chances against guys like Mitchell if he got into anywhere near decent condition.

DAAAAMN !! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) "Tits Out" Toney...

He really is at 220 again ? One would think dropping to 200 and actually looking like a boxer will change his approach...if there is any...

He said he wants to come into his next fight in the 220-225lb range, all that hard work he did and he just threw it back out the window. But maybe he'll surprise us and look in shape
