Rigo won the round and the hand speed battle. Donaire is winning the footwork battle. He's got Rigo circling the wrong way but Rigo is racking up points because Donaire is too busy trying to land the big counter.

lampley was saying that too...rigo is that good. he was trying to draw donaire by circling to the left. i used to use that trick with southpaws to bait them.

Baby Chavez Jr needs to let his hands go. All he is doing is pressing forward with no jab on the way in

6-0 cousin. he has to win every round for a draw. Donaire did not take this fight seriously and he got rid of Victor Conte and now all of the sudden his power is neutralized. Sounds a little fishy! Diaz set out a great game plan and Robert Garcia is about to go 0-2 for the year. Imagine Mikey Garcia one day fighting these guys. WOW. And Ruslan needs to take his ass home! And why did the crowd boo Bradley? Make that 7-0!

filipino fans still butt hurt over him beating pac of course.

garcia is a bit overrated.

What were the scores? Couldn't hear them cuz people wouldn't stfu.

Anyway, my thoughts on the fight. One of the most accurate views/scoring by HBO to date. Rigondeaux clearly controlled and won the fight. Donaire only won one round. Of course Donaire with the excuses, he was clearly very sad about the loss, I mean it is pretty embarrassing. I was calling it, that this was probably going to be like Miesha Tate/Ronda Rousey all over again. The top of the line champ losing to the professionally inexperienced non-deserving come up. Rigondeaux was the smarter and more skilled fighter of the two, however I do believe one of Donaire's excuses, that he overlooked the fight, because he clearly didn't have a gameplan to me. He didn't know what to do, while Rigondeaux pulled him in to his fight perfectly. I give props to Garcia working with his fighter, trying to make clear adjustments in the fight, but in the end it wasn't enough. Rigondeaux had his number, congrats.

from what i saw of training videos...garcia wasn't in the camp. donaire made all those statements prior to the fight about rigondeaux being unworthy...blah,blah,blah...but in at least one interview, he knew what he was against. so did garcia. the excuse of 'overlooking the fight' is a bullshit one. he's a professional champion. you don't overlook any fight. he didn't have a gameplan because neither he nor his ppl are on the level of rigondeaux or his trainer.

Now I can collect my $800 bet from my female friend. She was confident that Donaire was going to K.O. Rigo in the later rounds. I told her this is a man that knows the fundamentals of boxing. Hit and don't get hit. Body work early reward with headshots. Rigo is a defense first counter puncher. Donaire is the aggressive one which played into Rigo's strength. Donaire could have won by using his reach and jab to the body then set up left hook to the top. He got too easily frustrated and had no other game plan. Great dominant "boxing" performance by Rigo.

a chick bet $800 on a fight? against rigondeaux? was she filipina?
