Mares is a bad fothermucker!

I'm saying!

And word has it that it will be this year! So much for that vacation he talked about.

Now correct me Im wrong but I was told there was some sort of 8-12 month evaluation process for a fighter whos been knocked out, in terms of mandatory time off, does this not apply in cali?

Agreed. he is coming back way too soon. Of he loses again then what? Goodbye Russell Jr. And Rigondeaux. Gonzalez has heavy hands and I think Mares will try to do too much and get stretched out again. Take a break and come back rejuvenated. Damn shame! He has guts but he should also have a brain.

I still think Abner's a good fighter who got caught. So many think one loss turns a fighter to shit, and that is often not the case. We new of Gonzalez's power early, I don't think anyone expected the match to end this fast though. I heard that Mares is going to exercise his rematch clause, possibly this year, when earlier reports said he was going to take a vacation and rest.

Still a huge upset. He can still bounce back. He has thrown less low blows in recent fights, which is good. He has balls for wanting the Gonzalez rematch right away, I think Gonzalez beats him again in a rematch though.

I think mares can win this fight but its gonna take some major grit because he's gonna have to walk through those check hooks to make it his kind of fight all night.

Hard to hate on guys that give so much credit to their opponents after a loss
