I know we've been reading a bunch rah rah crap about the Khan fight (which I still think wont happen), but my biggest question is, when will Devon impress again? I haven't seen a good performance from him since the Urango fight in 2010. I mean, the Maidana fight was impressive, but Maidana was still a plodder and he looked fat in that fight.

Lately, he's just found ways to make fights boring, and that Kell Brook accident-prone nonsense just killed his buzz. I'm wondering when he'll show us something at WW, or will he just fizzle out? Mind you, I used to be a huge Alexander fan, but wth is up with him nowadays???

I think he needs another trainer to get him motivated. He will never get a big money fight with his fighting style and personality. His personality is boring as shit. he is a good guy but he just doesn't have the "it" factor. I am thinking Brother Nas or even Robert Garcia could help him out. Devon looks like he has lost interest in boxing.

For the first time I think I'm gonna have to disagree on the Trainer issue although I do feel what you're saying. The kid has decent skills but little pop, so he will have to find a way to be a more exciting fighter since he doesn't have to abilities to score the one shot type of KOs that people want to see in this sport, personally I just see him as a fighter who has mastered boxing basics and has no power.

He is the kind of durable fighter that can be around for a long time and then start to win fanfare based on his longevity as long as he is winning (kinda like a modern day, younger version of BHop).

If I'm his promoter I wouldn't try to change anything about his fighting abilities but I would try to get him in the ring with the biggest names so he can put those names on his resume, Khan's name would've looked good on his resume but an even better idea for him at this point is to wait for the winner of JMM vs Bradley (though Tim has already beaten him) which makes for a better match up either way because if JMM wins and Devon and Marquez fight and Alexander wins then he beat the man that beat him and if Bradley wins vs JMM then we get to see a rematch vs Bradley thus giving DA another chance to redeem himself from the first fight but a win against either man would give him a W and put Floyd at the table with him.

Devon needs to wake up. He just looks so lethargic. It is as if he just is there. His personality puts me to sleep and I like his boxing style but he just seems to be going through the motions. Maybe he needs to just add someone with some spice to his team. Who knows. No one is going to pay good money to see a guy with good boxing skills and a humdrum personality. If muthafuckas don't appreciate Rigondeaux's style and say Mayweather runs and is a boring fighter, what makes you think they will have any appreciation for Devon's skill set? The is a bore and he needs to do something to get that "Eye of the Tiger" back.

i can't put him on the level of rigondeaux or floyd. he's a few notches below.

he had robots in front of him in his last two fights. he should have shined like a star....instead, he completely underwhelmed. floyd and rigondeaux will stand in the pocket, make u miss and make u pay. that's exciting to me! what devon does is something less impressive. it's as if he's fighting scared the whole time...like the klitschkos....where as floyd and rigondeaux look super composed and smooth as silk.
