Man, if you think of a fight that would be huge for the future of boxing, don't count this one out. As of now, both guys (u can say) have a notable difference in terms of weight and the class that presents them in the present, but some where down the line I see these two in a super fight that would determine the number one guy of Mexico. That being said, both guys, coming off losses to future HOF'ers, have legacies to pave before we get into that... My question is who's the better man today and who do you see having the brighter future?

I think Canelo will have the brighter future. Looks like Chavez is on a collision course with Ward at 168. I really dont see the 2 ever fighting because of size differences though.

If Chavez can bounce back, I think Canelo and he would be a great fight! Who would you pick in this potential fight?

Chavez has the competition to prove he is better with the move to 168, if he can stay dedicated enough to do it is another question. He has good size a decent jab good power. All the tools

Canelo really doesn't have much at 154. Maybe at 160 he can prove himself

Indeed. Ward is going to school him if/when they fight

the window of opportunity closed on this fight. if and when it happens....both will be well past their primes and everyone will be talking about how good it would have been if they fought sooner.

If they were to fight today at 160lbs. I'd go with Chavez. I think his pressure and size would do Canelo in, but never the less be a very entertaining fight.

At this point, two weight classes seperate the two... U don't think somewhere in between can be a weight that could be agreed upon?

I think Canelo would outbox him. The kid had nothing against Sergio.

I don't rate him at all but it has to happen.

The battle of the hypekings.

I dont think Canelo has even reached his prime yet. That dudes going to be a beast when he gets his man strength.

No. The size difference is stupid ridiculous. I doubt Oscar throws his left nut into another horrible match up...especially against a TR fighter. Never happen.
