This was one hell of a fight...Ruslan had Alvarado doing pop and lock routines up there in several rounds. I was worried when it looked like Ruslan was spent but boy did he impress with them bombs. Put him in there with another 140lb banger and put him on an undercard on ppv.

Very good fight! When Mike boxed, he did well, but it wasn't enough and he never recovered from those two vicious knockdowns in the 8th. Would like to see Bradley-Provodikov. What did Mike's shirt say, "In memory of?" I started the DVR at the ring intros so I didn't see any pre-fight stuff.

Jack

PS. Lamps seems to cut himself off in mid-sentence more often than not. He said something like, "There's Provonikov's Mother, they actually fought...." Sounded like he and his Mother used to fight. But more likely Jim never finished his thought. Max was much better here than on Bradley-Marquez. In Bradley-Marquez he seemed to keep implying that it was a boring fight, reminding us that it wasn't a war. (Watched the replay.)

Bradley would NOT win a rematch...

If he has the same track shoes he had on in the marquez fight he will.

If Manny gets by Rios, which I expect he will then I doubt Arum puts Tim and Manny back in with each other. A Provodnikov rematch would be nice though. And I hope that's the fight that gets made. I expect Bradley to win in more convincing fashion if they do fight again

Bradley beats him easy if they have a rematch.. alvarado is there to be hit and let's not act like he is on any level the boxer Bradley is. People must have forgot how easily TB outboxed provo in the middle rounds of their fight WITH a concussion lol.

I would like for Alvarado to start fighting a more poised fight. He seems to be fighting as if he's trying to prove himself from his previous fights. It's weird, but I've been noticing it since the first Rios fight. It's almost like he didn't wanna give into the "brawler" pressure that was put on him before the first Rios fight, so he fought a somewhat uncharacteristic fight, then he did it in the rematch, and Im sure we all saw it in this fight.

If he's gonna keep this shoulder roll nonsense up, then he could at least hire Floyd Sr. to help him a bit. Its not like he's gonna perfect it, but he can at least sharpen it up a bit. He stood in the pocket too long and gave Ruslan too many opportunities to land a "oh shit, he actually landed that one" punch.

Wow. Just saw the fight and I have to give Ruslan credit, he made Mike quit. The shots he was giving Mike was something fierce. I thought Tony was going stop the fight.

I am thinking the winner of Rios and Pac will get Ruslan next. Even if Rios loses he will still get Ruslan. Great fight all around. I knew the fight would be brutal but damn. Mike's eye looked terrible. Good fight.
