See I think Mannys going to hurt Rios, then go in for the kill. But the issue is when Rios is hurt he just throws punches, so we'll see how it goes.

Also it turns out am not here for this, instead am in Amsterdam (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Officals Named- Credit Box Rec:

referee: Genaro Rodriguez (Illinois) | judge: Lisa Giampa (Nevada) | judge: Michael Pernick (Florida) | judge: Manfred Kuechler (Germany)

Seems OK, but is Lisa Giampa experienced enough for a fight of this magnitude?

The only real question is what does Manny have left? He looked pretty good in that 4th JMM fight until the KO. He was beating JMM easier in that fight than the previous 3. How much did that one punch KO take from him? If he is like the old Pac, he smokes Rios in a fight that could become dangerous for Bam Bam. If Pac is not the same, I think Rios has a chance.

If Pac wins, I think it sets us up for a rematch with Tim Bradley.

Am sure if daprofessor was around he'd say that Marquez was there for the KO and not there to win on points. He wasn't trying to outbox Pac etc etc. Where is he anyways?

Typical weak Top Rank Card undercard. This better be a great fight or a big upset by Rios to be worth $60 PPV-SD-$70PPV-HD.

From BoxRec:

Cotai Arena, Venetian Resort, Macao, Macao S.A.R., China

welterweight Manny Pacquiao SC Brandon Rios 12

featherweight Evgeny Gradovich SC Billy Dib 12

heavyweight Andy Ruiz Jr SC Tor Hamer 10

lightweight Ik Yang SC Hero Tito 8

flyweight Zou Shiming SC Juan Tozcano 6

super featherweight Felix Verdejo SC Duanaaymukdahan Petchsamuthr 6

super flyweight Rex Tso SC Susu Sithjadaeng 6

light middleweight Kuok Kun Ng SC You-Jie Zeng 4

******************************************************************

Fights in bold are expected to be a part of the PPV telecast.

I'm not paying for no TR PPV. I'm hitting a sports bar up, I'd rather pay $10 then $60 for their usual underwhelming cards. I like Tor Hamer and Andy Ruiz jr, don't really care for Zou. Hopefully these fights end early and the main event comes up quickly

In addition to the reasons mrchitown mentioned, I'm not paying for a PPV of 2 fighters coming off of definitive L's. I think that fact is being conveniently overlooked. These guys are being promoted extra hard on HBO but both are coming off of losses. Meanwhile, Ward and Rigondeaux get put to the back burner.

seriously Cshel? Lol I like going for underdogs too. But have you seen how Rios looks in training in Ellie Seckback youtube vids? I know lookin good training is not a indication of a sure win in a fight but daamn that boy looks slow as fuck. Throws hooks slow and wide. He does not possess the timing of Marquez to catch him.

Rios needs to work his jab. He has a strong jab shown in Alvarado II. And if he could learn anything from his Papa Margarito is that he jabbed Pacquiao which bothered him quite often in the early rounds. Even Bradley jabs bothered Pacquiao.

Oh yes, I'm definitely going for the underdog! Rios isn't the fastest guy in the world, but when you least expect it, he catches you with something short and quick. That shot will either hurt you, or force you into an inside fight. Lol

The jab will slow down the best of fighters, but we have to see how he deals with Manny's speed and that dormant right hook that he almost killed JMM with in their last fight. I want to see if Rios can cut off the ring, because Manny will avoid an inside fight at all costs.

Anyone surprised this fight might flop even in China?
