Blaydes Boxing Gym without a champion!

This Sunday was a bad day for boxing. Travis Simms (6-1-1) got dominated against "Super" Virus and even knocked out when he had to go for the knockout in the final round.

QUOTE(Travis Simms)
You know, I didnt feel good the entire day. I never had trouble making weight before in my career. But this time I had to give away all my strength in order to make weight. You cant imagine how hard it is to fight being that drained. But no excuses... Super did what he had to do. Hes still a bum though. I know Im the better fighter. He may move up now, but believe me, I was the guy having weight problems. I hurt my left hand before the fight and couldnt really traing. Thats not gonna happen again. I will rule 154!

Josh Joshua (4-1-0) still has a lot of work to do if he wants to be known as a P4P fighter. He lost his Super Welterweight title to unbeaten Tera Patrick by UD.

Others fights of notice:

Mighty Mo (3-5-0) cant continue thinking about a big money fight against Iron. He got knocked out by punchless Lanky Gawn.

Jean Pascal (6-3-0) got knocked out by Butkiss in a Light Heavyweight Eliminator. He didnt expect Butkiss zu hit that hard.

Flyweight prospect Small Big Bombs (4-1-0) knocked out Reynaldo Bautista in round 2 and will face Rey Bautista next biggrin.gif

"Das Phantom" Ottke was victorious against Leroy Judah by UD.

"Awesome" Awesome (2-1-1) disappointed everybody losing to Tuacao.

Finally gotcha Blade... well, at least 2 out of 3

That fight with Jean Pascal was a classic. The fight was a draw on 2 of the 3 judges with only Judge Judy refusing to give the nod to Richard Butkiss and his boyish good looks... She's a lesbian.

Doc louis, head trainer for 'The Big Pineapple' scouted well - he knew Jean was gonna go for the big blows in the championship rounds and Richard made him pay.

Richard Butkiss is now poised to fight for the LHW title this coming sunday. After the fight you will all know his name... Dick

I have an important announcement and request...

The ATL Dungeon is leaving for a European Tour before the weekend of the 19th...we won't be training as I won't be privy to the internet during our vacation...

So Mister Commissioner...while we're away, could you please ensure that Dungeon Members don't partake in any meaningful fights (ones where I talked mad shit) throughout this hiatus...our estimated time of return is September 1st...

Thank you in advance,

World Middleweight Championship
Wexley "Power" Gawn (10-0-1 1KO) vs. CyruS "Super" ViruS (8-2-1 4KOs)
- 2 Time Jr. Middleweight Champion "Super" finally moves up to Middleweight to take on the Undefeated Middleweight Champion, Wexley Gawn. -

You got to go with Wexley in this one. I believe he is all wrong for Super. I dont think Wexley will let that passive Super steal all the rounds. Its an interesting fight though smile.gif

Not having any title fight yourself you got to focuse a bit more on the other fights... Biggest fights for Blaydes Boxing Gym:

Heavyweight

Rocky Romero (4-2-0) vs. "Boogeyman" Jesse Ferguson (6-5-0)
-> This IS a big fight! Romero already knocked the Boogeyman out and he is gonna do it again.

Odlanier Solis (2-0-0) vs. James Toney (2-0-0)
-> Two of the hottest prospects in boxing and they are heavyweights! So far both men destroyed their opponents. But only one of them will climb the rankings as fast as he wants. Both seem to be championship material though.

Cruiserweight

Aleksander Alexeev (2-0-0) vs. Max Kellerman (10-2-0)
-> This is not fair sad.gif Alexeev NEVER signed a contract to fight someone who is 10-2 in his THIRD pro fight. Its almost gonna be impossible for Alexeev to keep his nice record having to gain so much experience.

Yoan Pablo Hernandez (2-0-0) vs. Lucius Vorenus (1-1-0)
-> Interesting fight between two good cruiserweight prospects.

Light Heavyweight

Jean Pascal (6-3-0) vs. Lebron "The Wizard" Puba (5-0-0)
-> Coming off his first non-title fight loss and most imporantly KO loss Pascal has to fight 6 foot 7 undefeated Light Heavyweight up and comer Puba. That reminds Pascal of his two title fight losses but he has to win this fight.

Super Middleweight

Yusaf Mack (4-1-0) vs. Jambo Bazooka (0-2-0)
-> Not that much of a big fight but the return of former champion Mack.

Middleweight

Tarvis Simms (6-1-0) vs. Ibrahim Calypso (6-2-1)
Simms middleweight debut. He feels much better in that division, stayed at super welter way too long and is confident he can beat Super now.

Super Welterweight
Travis Simms (6-1-1) vs. Rodney Jay (3-1-0)
-> Tough fight for the tremendous one but after getting knocked out by Super he has to prove something.

Super Featherweight

Josh Joshua (4-1-0) vs. Catalina Cruz (3-3-0)
Comeback of former champion Joshua.

In other Pineapple news,

4-0-1, Nonito "Filipino Flash" Donaire challenges the 9-1 Z "The Dream" Gorres for the Junior-Flyweight Championship. This is definitely what both camps have been wanting for a long time... Big G's Gym is a dissmal 1-15 vs. 'The Big Pineapple' and they want redemption. Although Donaire's camp is confident they will come away with the victory, and Donaire be only the 5th champ in the Gym's history, they know they are up against a tough challenge. "The Dream", understanding that he has the added pressure of upholding the honor of his gym, looks to solidify himself as one of the best lb for lb as he looks to win his 5th straight title defense.
