All these draws and losses really tarnished Montiel's legacy.....He is my boy but no HOF for Montiel.

Montiel is a great little man fighter however fighting at all those high weight classes is what is hurting him. Big over-achiever.

I should've left him at Junior-Bantamweight...he is kind of like Gorres...except less defense and more power.

If he can make Jr. Bantamweight he should go back. No Fear has moved up to Bantamweight to try and win the vacant Bantamweight Title.

He can make it but Montiel has had rough rough career....But he definitely DARED to be great....going up in weight to fight a younger bigger beast in Gamboa.

HWG holds the most spectacular victory over Montiel....a great late round KO.
