Super middleweight legend Maxy "Deep Freeze" Gawn makes a low profile comeback on Sunday's card when he faces Jermanik Thompson in a 12 round super middleweight bout. Although this fight will be at super middle, Deep Freeze is to train intensively on strength as he is intent on becoming a light heavyweight. Despite claiming otherwise it is thought he wants a fight with Butkiss.

I won't take anything away from Butkiss. He did the job.

Yes, Deep Freeze DID INDEED weigh 175Ibs but he hopes to weigh above that weight and get down to 175 if he is to compete seriously at light heavy in the future. It'll probably back fire but he might as well go for it.

Jones WASN'T a light Heavyweight and beat Butkiss.

Jones is the man.

True.

Deep Freeze BEAT Jones though.

At super middle Deep Freeze was pretty much untouchable.
BigG
Jones is improved tremenously since joining Judah in the dark side gym. He will knock Deep Freeze out if they ever fight.

Ahhh but he was 18 status when he fought Deep Freeze. Like I said before, I want to try him at light heavy. He won't be able to make super middle after tomorrow but that intensive training thing is a bit risky.
BigG
He was actually 17. Jones is now using better fight plans which suits his attributes. He wont try to outbox Deep Freeze next time.

But Jones isnt moving up in weight to fight anyone anymore...unless it's a big money fight vs. TOS at 175. LOL...and what are the chances of THAT happening?

Jones is looking for Abu-Husson, Sloan, and finally Pascal.
