Dipsy feels he is capable of stopping Alexeev but admits he hasn't watched any tapes of his opponent yet and said that until he watches the tapes he won't know how he'll approach the fight.

He also revealed that he's surprised Holmes has come out and said that he's favourite for the fight stating, "Larry Holmes despises me and he usually likes to tell the world how crap I am so for him to say what he said is a bit of a surprise. To be honest I believe he feels he can beat Alexeev and is hoping I have another one of my off-nights and lose the title so that he can get a shot at the new champ. I've got a rematch clause however...so..."

Well its better news than after the fight, but should have been agreed to before the fight was signed or did I miss something? But its definitely ok.

Alexeev, the Russian who is speaking English and German very well: "Ive never given anything about what the trash talkers of the world have said. Larry Holmes is a loud mouth, he likes to talk, but no one should care about what he says. Honestly I do not even think that he is telling his opinion about the fight. I think he is saying that only because of the fact that he lost to Dipsy Gawn.
Personally I know that Dipsy Gawn is a very underrated fighter. In my opinion he should have been recognized as a top 10 fighter pound 4 pound. I also think the same about me because I beat Tyson and Dawson and had a very competitive fight against Harry Angus who without a doubt is one of the best in the world. Dipsy is not only a different fighter than Ice Cream, he is also a better fighter. For sure he is against someone with a style like me, but I know I can beat him.
Come Sunday Im looking forward to putting on a great show. Ive always come to fight in my amateur and in my pro career and I will do just that again on Sunday."

"I've watched the tapes of this Alexeev guys last few fights and he's definitely got power in his repertoire so I know I'll have to be smart in this bout.
