Does anyone actually follow the show...?

I donot really follow it, but iI turn over every so often to see what is going on. Most of them suck IMO, but I do know that if I was on the show and I basically knew I was gone I would come out and sing my heart out adding some F-Bombs to the lyrics without their knowledge. Kind of like singing that song from Old School exactly the way that wedding singer sang.

I watched it to laugh at the rejects at the start but I kind of followed it...Not really feeling anyone on the season...theres literally a bunch of fags on the show right now. But whatever..I follow it...

The best ever there was without a doubt that Fantasia...

I've followed it here and there a few seasons in the past...last year, I only saw some auditions and the finals...and I've not watched it at all this year...I've lost interest in it.

and Fantasia did nail it at the end of her season...that was an awesome sight....

Never watched a minute of it until last season (Jordin Sparks) because my girlfriend was living with me at the time and was a hardcore fan. I sorta got sucked in that way.

LOL..this is honestly the first season I'm following in years...since the one of Fantasia..which was 3 I believe...some of my friends follow it. ...I just kinda got sucked in after watching the auditions..lol..

Does anyone else dislike the 17 year old kid? He's a pretty good singer...but he sometimes comes off as a little fake soft bitch..plus he's way overrated IMO.

I like the Aussie rocker guy and the MMA chick (shes hot) this season..chikizie (SP?) is not bad too.

The 17 year old kid has lots of natural talent, but as we saw last week he choked big time. I think as the season goes on and the pressure builds it will only serve to make it tougher on him and I see him choking more. I think we've seen the best of him already, although I fully expect him to be in the top 3-4.

I never watched the show until last season (Jordin Sparks) and noticed that on sportsbook.com they had odds on the winner under exotics. I placed a small bet... $50 or $75 on Jordin Sparks to win about 7 weeks out at 3-1 odds, so I ended up winning a modest $200 or so. Anyway I told myself I'd really watch this season closely so that I could make some good cash =)

I put $100 on David Cook at 4-1 to win $400. I think the winner this year is going to be a guy (Idol seems to like to alternate between genders every year) and I think the 17 year old kid and David Cook are the top 2 guys. I already explained why I think the kid isn't going to make it, so that leaves Cook.

The 17 year old kid David Archuleta is going to make it far but I dunno...I liked his performance of John Lennons imagine but other then that he was way too overrated...and I loved it when he forgot the lyrics. LOL.. He reminds me of Oscar De La Hoya..a fake bitch. But other then that, he's okay I guess

And Cook and the Aussie rocker guy are actually pretty consistant..but I feel the kid has the biggest fanbas and will win in the end.

Chikeizi was the best last week and seems to be the most underrated and slept-on.

as for the girls, none of them are really shining this season..except for Brooke.

1. David Cook - Consistant, entertaining...
2. David Archuleta - kid has talent...but it seems to me that slow ballads are his strong point and he isn't very versitile..but his last performance was really good. So far he's delivered two excellent perfomances but besides that he's been good with 1 bad one. Could easily be # 1..
3. Chikizie - Very entertaining performer......The man killed it when he sang shes a woman..
4. Carly - Easily one of the best..
5. Brooke - She's one of my favorites. Her last performance wasnt so good but besides that shes been consistant.
6. Syesha - Last perfomance WAS the best of that night..
7. Michael - Consistant as well..pretty cool aussie rocker.
8. Jason - I think he is overrated
9. Ramielle - Cute chick but she just doesnt stand out in the competition..
10. Kristy - I think shes hot..shes a MMA chick..i like her..but shes lucky to have made it this far. Shes just not on par with the other 9...I'd bang her anyday though

I have two questions

1) how the fuck does Kristy Lee Cook survive every single week in the bottom two? WTF?

2) How was Carly in the bottom three and not Michael Johns. That dude has been consisitenly blah from week to week.

Yeah...she probably didnt deserve to make the top 12...She's lucky to be where shes at right now. I definitely think shes going home next week.

And I was pretty surprised to see Carly in the bottom 3....she's one of the best...constantly giving good, soliv performances.

I'm not convinced that America's voting has everything to do with the results on the show. I think it plays a huge, dominating factor... but it isn't everything. Like from what I remember there's always a guy and a girl left as the final 2, and it seems that the ratio to guys and girls is always pretty spot on. That's why I put Brooke as #2, because I simply think that somehow Idol will have a guy and a girl as the final 2 when clearly it should be 2 guys this year.

I think the 2 David's are the best, but I just think the 17 year old one is going to crack under the pressure again at some point. He's also pretty immature, always giggling and such... not like Jordin Sparks who was the same age but acted more like an adult. Sure he's got a huge fanbase, probably every high school girl around the country is voting for him week after week. Also I think they love Jason which is why I think he'll be around longer than he should be since lots of votes are pouring in on him.

I'm really not impressed with Chikeze. I think he's a good performer but as Simon always says "it's a signing competition" and I really don't think his singing is any better than most of the others. I mean look at that girl Amanda that got the axe last night. That girl couldn't sing FOR SHIT... she sounded like a rabid barking dog. She was ALL performance and ZERO signing ability and she made it to #11. There are probably 40 people from Hollywood week that actually sang better than her, but due to her unique crazy performance style people liked her and voted for her.

The reason I think David Cook is going to win is that first of all he can sing really well AND perform... he's consistent, likable, humble, etc. but above and beyond those qualities Idol hasn't had a winner like him before. You've got your Jordin Sparks banging out tracks with Chris Brown and shit, you've got Underwood with the country, and like I said I know jack really about the other seasons but I know for sure there has not been a rock style winner like Cook would be. Idol I'm sure sees the success of Daughtry or however the hell you spell his name and recognizes that to maintain a consistent audience having Cook win would probably be the "best" decision for the show.

Anyway I don't buy the whole votes thing. Shit why don't they show the vote results on the screen on elimination night? I also think it was BS that Carly was in the bottom 3... I don't believe that America voted more times for 8 others aside from her. I think they just threw her there to give people a scare and as a result she'll get more votes next week and you WON'T see her in the bottom 3. Just my opinion.

I think cook will make the top 5 but Im not sure about him winning. He has not showed that he can do anything but rock out (while Daughtry did when he sand "Its a wonderful world"). And as far as other rockers, I know that Bo Bice was runner up to Carrie Underwood the year that she won. And Jason Castro should not be as high up as he is. If not for all the little girls voting he would probably be in the bottom 3 most weeks.

I disagree with you on Chikizie though I believe he's got some tight vocals. i like him alot better then the rest of the guys this season...He did such a good job with "She's a woman".....probably my favorite performance of the season.

But I agree that Cook will make it far because he does have vocals and he does put up good peorfmances...funny you mention Daughtry because Cook is basically another Daughtry....

Thr 17 year old apparently has a ton of experience already..he's won some type of singing competition before I believe it was star search...dont think hes going to fold under pressure again unless he sings something other then a slow balad type song..he pretty much nails them and gets mad props from the judges. Dont know if hed shine in anything else.

Actually there was another rocker in season 4 I believe by the name of Bo Bice who was 2nd place I think..he was about as good as Chris D....but Daughtry certainly blew up after Idol..

I really dont know how Cook made it this far. She probably should have been eliminated like 4 weeks in a row. Sad thing is she actually has a good voice, but she picks horrible songs and looks awkward on stage.

The only thing I like about her is that she hits the heavy bag and rides horses. She's probably some fun in the sack but that's about it.

Yeah I watched a few as well and I agree. But that still doesn't change the fact that Idol has yet to have a "rock" winner, and Cook could be the first considering the extreme lack of talent this season. I really think aside from Cook, the other David, Brooke and Carly that NONE of the others even have a prayer of winning.

Hemmorhage was awesome by Daughtry. I told my GF that I think that Cook will end up being bottom two every week and then win it in the final week. That would be some shit.

No, I'm serious...he was probably the worst...if not..bottom 3. He didn't sound good. Randy said it was weird, Paula said he was cute, Simon said it was a theme park perfomance which might as well had animated creatures singing with him in the background . But he is going nowhere.

Ah, thats kinda cool. Regardless of who did the worse I think the Cook needs to go. She has been the worst everyweek and in the botton two but has made it to the next round every single time. I think with her own music in country she could do very well but she isnt quite right for this competition. And I dont think she is hot at all. She looks very weird to me, and her performances lead me to believe she would be a wet fish in the sack.

Actually the theme next week is country so she might actually shine if she stays. But she needs to go..either her or Ramiele

Well after last night I'm feeling even better about my bet for David Cook to win the season.

I just watched it and David Cook did awesome. Also, I dont think the Archuleta did bad at all...it was just a shitty song. Michael Johns had a good night too. I knew Chikezie would be going home soon, but I think that for overall performances over the weeks that it should have been Kristy Lee Cook or Ramielle.

I was a little surprised that Chikieze went home so early... I mean I did have him in the bottom 5 P4P but I thought he'd make it a few more weeks just based on being very different than the others. Little David didn't sing bad, it was just a really gay song. 90% of what he sang was just "woah ooooh oh oooo ooooooh" again and again. I actually LMAO when Simon made that comment about animated creatures at a theme park dancing/singing along with him because that was so accurate. Regardless, he can still have absolute shit weeks for the next 4 weeks and he'll still be in the top 5 based on his fan base. Basically he can sing whatever he wants for the next 4 weeks and then really put his best effort in. I still think that best effort won't be enough when it's down to him and just a few others.

David Cook keeps coming through with badass performances. Paula said it best when she said he pushes it to the limits without going over. Not only do I think he will win, but I think he SHOULD win based on his talent level compared to the others. Hopefully he can build somewhat of a fan base over the next few weeks to help seal the deal.

The kid is no where near Cook. Cook blows him out. Like I said, the lil bastard only shines in slow ballad type songs. He had one great one in Imagine, 2 decent ones in Heaven and LAST weeks song. the rest have been either bad or average. He doesn't sound good in upbeat songs. I dunno, I'm just not feeling his voice at all compared to Cook and Chikezie or the Aussie Rocker guy Michae. He sounded bad early in the song I thought..his voice cracked at one point but I guess he finished strong. Still, the judges , particularly crackhead Paula, gives him TOO much props... He belongs in Lion King and aladdin and those type of things. Or in Disney with hanna Montana and High School Musical. Nah..he's a good singer. The kid certainly has the teenyboppers vote. Everyone ages 15 below is prolly voting 100 times a day for him.

Cook deserves to win if he keeps putting on great perfomances.
